We have recently become all too familiar with the phrase “Trust the science” from people in places of power or authority. Yet these same people tell us to accept that you can be whatever you think you are despite the scientific facts about you. Trust, of late, has become something that is not easy to do much of the time. When those who instruct us to “trust what they say” do things that prove they are not trustworthy, trust is the last thing we will extend to them.
Thankfully the object and basis of our trust is in a source that has an impeccable and perfect track record. Not once has it been inaccurate, not once has it asked us to believe in something contradictory to evidence, and not once has it been misleading or proven itself untrustworthy.
Psalms 119:160 KJV – “Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.”
In a season of history when truth is determined by a person’s feelings and emotions, it is good to know that we have a book of facts that records the past, directs us through the present, and foretells the future. This living, powerful, and unparalleled book has told us that born again Christians do not have an appointment with God’s wrath (1 Thessalonians 5:9). It also tells us that someday the wrath of God is coming upon the whole world (Revelation 16:1).

Maranatha!!!
But they will be judged ... just sayin ...
We know how this mess ends. Jesus wins!
“But they will be judged”
True.
I don’t believe Christians will suddenly vanish when the tribulation begins. That is not directly supported in the Bible. But it does specifically say they will be spared the time of wrath, in the latter part of it. There is a lot of unnecessary division on that, however.
Exactly! And God’s wrath is NOT Satan’s wrath which is the tribulation. God’s wrath is the destruction of all the world (the elements melt with a fervent heat). God’s wrath happens right after we’re raptured to meet Christ in the air.
My sins are forgiven.
If that’s true the God owes all the saints and martyrs an apology.
For the saints that’s about reward.
I think about that more and more every day. And I know that I will definitely not enjoy it.
None of us are gonna enjoy it
But they will be judged ... just sayin ...
Amen!
No disagreement with me - some Christians don’t believe they will be judged
That’s correct, those of us anticipating His Return will get crowns.
It should be a side note, as I see it
we could step into eternity today and it then becomes irrelevant.
I’m thinking about the Destination not
the Departure gate.
Jesus is my Pilot.

Cheers

Raptured?? I don’t believe any Christian prior to 1830 ever heard of such a belief. It wasn’t until that year that this “rapture doctrine” was conceived by a preacher of the Plymouth Brethren by the name of John Darby who was formerly a priest of the Church of Ireland.
Pretty much every time I see the word “rapture” my eyes inadvertently roll back in my head.
I seriously have no idea why some are so misled into thinking it will occur. Just being spared the wrath of G_d, or the wrath of the adversary doesn’t mean we are suddenly going to float up to heaven.
That’s a childish fantasy, not a legitimate, rational, biblical belief.
My sins are forgiven.

Not so. When the day of wrath comes you will be shocked to discover that you will be required to answer for EVERY single sin you have ever committed.
