Christians ‘have a moral obligation to enthusiastically back’ Trump in 2020...

‘Render to God and Trump’

That was the original title of a book, written by Faith and Freed Coalition founder and devoted Trump supporter Ralph Reed, scheduled to come out next year in the lead up to the general election, according to Politico.

The title, which was a reference to the biblical verse “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s,” has since been changed to “For God and Country: The Christian case for Trump.” The name is different, but the message is not.

In the book, Reed, one of Trump’s biggest Christian backers, argues American evangelicals “have a moral obligation to enthusiastically back” the president. Why? Well, Reed says that evangelicals have a duty to defend the incumbent Republican leader against “the stridently anti-Christian, anti-Semitic, and pro-abortion agenda of the progressive left.”

A senior administration official was quoted in Politico explaining why Trump resonates so much with his evangelical base.

Absolutely. The anti Christian forces are aggressive and dedicated in this country. Only vigilance and equal effort will push them back.

There has never been a more stark contrast between God and Satan in U.S. history.

Us Christians need to elect a new patriot Congress in 2020 elections that will promise to fully support PDJT’s vision for MAGA, now KAG.

Sadly, many Christians don’t get it. There’s a group that constantly pickets a local abortion clinic. One of the protesters wears an unflattering Trump mask holding coat hangers.

I’m so tempted to stop and ask what he thinks a President Hillary Clinton would do about abortion?

smh

Enthusiastically? No. Too many warts, like all the rest of us. Back him? Yes, strongly. The alternatives ae unthinkable!

If there was a committed professing Christian who could fight back against the forces of evil like Trump does, no holds barred, he’d be a better choice. Until we find one, God has given us Trump.

Explain how any Christian can vote for a Democrat party that advocates the policy of infanticide (AKA Abortion) up to the moment of birth?

"There simply is no other alternative to Trump."

Yep. I don't know there is a moral obligation, per se, to vote for Trump but there is certainly a moral obligation to vote against the party that boo'd God three times at its Presidential nominating convention.

Much as I detest abortion, I’ve never seen what good picketing and street theater accomplishes. By adopting Leftist tactics, anti-abortion demonstrators run the risk of coming off like Leftists-lite.

Certainly, the enemedia will cast even the most peaceful anti-abortion rally in the worst possible light, while providing cover for Antifa and BLM thuggery.

The wave of state legislation, on the other hand, I can both understand and fully support.

Street theater may make the participants feel good about themselves. But feeling good about oneself is Leftist psychobabble. So we must ask ourselves whether it really moves us any closer to where we need to be.

I fully agree with Ralph Reed’s reasoning.

...." I don't know there is a moral obligation, per se, to vote for Trump".....

Yup, it's a moral obligation.

Rom 1:32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

This is after a list of sins that deserve the death penalty. You can't separate faith and politics, otherwise you raise politics above God. Vote God first. Abortion and sodomy have been raised (IMO, by God)to blatant visibility so everyone can make a conscious choice to be accountable for.

Jesus told us that He would come to judge the world "As it was in the days of Noah, and as it was in the days of Lot". In the days of Noah, there was murder, robbery, and evil continuously. In the days of Lot, well, you know! Everyone surrounded Lot's house to watch the angels get raped. Everyone approved of it whether they did it or not.

So a Christian has the choice of political correctness or following God. You can't ride the fence or be luke warm. Voting Democrat is a sin. Republicans aren't perfect, but most support God and His will for our country. Democrats have removed all mentions of God from their platform.

"This is after a list of sins that deserve the death penalty."

So, you are saying Trump is perfect and never committed any sin listed in Romans 1? Trump has never been greedy, boastful, had malice, been deceitful, never gossiped, never been insolent or arrogant? All those are sins listed in Romans 1.28-32. Sorry, we have no moral obligation to vote for any individual unless Christ comes back and runs for President.

The same place it’s always been. And I am a big Trump supporter but not because it’s a divine obligation - which it’s not.

Trump is pro-life and pro-Israel.

I could not agree more.

You said it.

I would say, though, that there's one area where the Evangelicals need to relax some is that they tend to put their leaders on a pedestal and expect perfection out of them.

Trump's sometimes crudeness and three marriages not withstanding, he is basically squeaky clean. For the effort the left has put into finding something to smear him with and coming up short handed EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. if those three marriages are the worst they can come up with, I have no complains about his integrity.

Considering the divorce rate in Evangelicalism today, half the people are in no position to point any fingers. And that's not counting those who have had extra marital sex of any kind.
