Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, the whistle-blowing former papal nuncio to the U.S., recently confirmed my scoop from last year that Monsignor Walter Rossi, who runs the Basilica of the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, is an accused gay predator.
Monsignor Rossi is, without a doubt, a member of the gay mafia. You can read about him online on The American Spectator website, Viganò told the Italian journalist Marco Tosatti.
I can say that, while I was a nuncio in the United States, I received the documentation that states that Msgr. Rossi had sexually molested male students at the Catholic University of America, according to Viganò. The Vatican, in particular Cdl. [Pietro] Parolin, is well aware of the situation of Msgr. Rossi, as is Cdl. Wuerl. I can finally testify that Rossis name was proposed for promotion to my predecessor, Archbishop Pietro Sambi, who blocked his progress.

Neumayr is a scheming slimy slanderer and egomaniac, but, I’m fully on his side in this case, which to use a phrase N himself might devise, is one of episcopal brutality.
OTOH, the canonical rights of lay Catholics may be hard to enforce. But since Missus Valencia Camp, the Shrine Security Person, said it was a "civil matter" involving the police, here's hoping the irrepressible and indispensable George Neumayr can assert his rights as a Citizen and get some kind of procedural and substantive due process.
Rossi --- absurd. Not only homomafia kingpin, but Clericalist on Stilts.
Neumayr is a scheming slimy slanderer and egomaniac
Where does this vitriol come from?
Not by that route. The DC archdiocese and DC police have a rather close, cooperative, even symbiotic, relationship.
Toward N or Rossi? Ha. No vitriol, that’s the lay of the land.
Not just the Cath. Church. Churches generally.
And not just churches. Doctors. Lawyers. Other professions. You didn't drag them through the courts. You assumed the professional brotherhood would "take care of it" among themselves.
You have already shown your disdain for Christopher Ferrara, Catholic Family News, and the Remnant Newspaper.
What are your go-to sources? America Magazine? L'Osservatore Romano?
I believe you’re right, and described the situation well.
My priest confessor— ha ha, just kidding you, Ebb Tide!
So you won’t support your detraction of your fellow Catholics: “scheming slimy slanderer and egomaniac”?
Actually, it's MAH-jee-stair.
But thank you for playing.
Neumayr turns vague accusations into confirmed facts with hackneyed yellow journalism techniques. He turns facts into lurid, mass-appeal fantasy stories. He seems to pride himself on logical fallacies. He decides what he wants to say, then targets people and places to create or coerce bits he then knits into far out pet theories that resonate with readers prone to hysteria over reason.
N went to a jam-packed, big-event mass with the dear hope of provoking getting tossed out. Now, that’s OK, low class, but a legitimate journo trick. N is in the right in this regard! I would defend to the arch himself N’s right to attend mass and be in a parish church of any size. But wasn’t it clever of N to get some revenge? Now he looks like a personal victim of the corrupt hierarchy — and in fact he is!
It’s always good to play devil’s advocate when reading articles, especially ones that draw all the conclusions for you. This is helpful for anyone including Catholics. I did not intend to insult fellow Catholics, most of them would see thru these manipulations and not give N the time of day.
I hate to correct you; you seem to make the common error of giving the Anglo accent to the Italianate. Maybe you innocently picked that up from some ignorant priest, would not be uncommon.
I’m not interested in your detractions. Never have been.
You seem more interested in attacking the authors of the articles posted rather then addressing the content of the articles.
What are you complaints against Catholic Family News and the Remnant? They’re too Catholic for you?
Nice try, but that's directly from a native speaker of Italian who is familiar with Sandro.
Not sure why you say ‘detraction’ ? Or ‘too Cath’ either ?
