Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people. (Proverbs 14:34)
Our nation is anything but righteous. For the most part, righteousness has been neglected, scorned, and despised! Indeed, America has turned its back on You and has excelled in sin and debauchery. Only a return to Your precepts can turn our country around. May the fear of the LORD fall upon believers, causing them to no longer do lip service to Your Promises of hope and restoration, but prompting them to obey every one Your Commands with trembling and trepidation.
"If My people will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and change their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive them and heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)
Humble us, LORD. Do what it takes to cause us believers to fall to our knees in true repentance, separate ourselves from the world, and pursue righteous living. Fill us with Your SPIRIT, LORD. May our love for You and zeal for Your Ways cause us stand up against our nation's moral decay and excel in restoring good government and justice in the courts. Give us a hunger for Your WORD and obedience to teach the generations about Your faithfulness, goodness and mercy. Most importantly, instill within us a hunger for lost souls and the desire to share the GOOD NEWS of the GOSPEL of JESUS CHRIST. Time on earth is short. Heaven and hell are real. Eternity is forever.
We are not deserving of Your Grace and Mercy except through the atoning blood of JESUS CHRIST. Help us live a lifestyle of total surrender to You. Hear our cries, LORD. Our hope and trust are in You.
The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. (Psalm 35:17-19)
Bless and protect President Trump, Vice President Pence, members of his administration, and their families. Bring to justice all who have tried to take down his presidency. May Your judgment be swift, LORD, so he can put his efforts into Making America Great Again and live to see enjoy the fruits of his labor. Surround him with wise and loyal counsel. May they look to You for WISDOM and GUIDANCE. May he give You the glory for his victories!
