Thanks. You re right. I looked it up and found that the share of Singaporeans who are Christians has been steadily rising. It was 12.7% in 1990, 14.6% in 2000, 18% in the 2015 census. When I was there one Christmas, however, you’d think you were in Jolly Old England celebration a Victorian Christmas — except no snow.
Even the non-Christians there love the Santa Claus/gift giving/decorations aspects of Christmas. It’s a huge holiday in Singapore - and since the island is basically a giant underground mall with high-rises on top, the retailers are very happy with that. :)
