Dominionist hogwash.
:: Our divine calling is literally to strive to make the world and all of humanity better with God’s help. ::
To quote Maxwell Smart, “Missed it by THAT much.”
Sola Gratia
Sola Fides
Sola Scriptura
People are fleeing the institutional church because it has become a Marxist institution more concerned with earthly goals than spiritual ones.
Many churches are nothing more than fake religions designed to make perverts feel good about themselves.
Beating up on a straw man.
So if I have this right:
Eternity is irrelevant, whatever is going on now is what really matters.
Corrupt fallen men can make the world good after all.
Billy Graham should have showed people how to make the world good instead of showing them how to be saved from the fires of eternal Hell.
And if you disagree with this position you are to be called “Escapist” (oh horrors!)
Organized Religion worldwide, as mentioned above, has been hijacked by Evil/Satan/Marxism/LiberalProgressives.
The true Christian today is repulsed by the doorway to Heaven being a wide freeway full of perversion and the acceptance of behavior that is clearly not tolerated in the Kingdom of God.
Forgive the sinner that repents, but the new church just decided it more profitable and powerful to forgive the sin. Actually, the only sin is to adhere to the Bible...
WOW. There’s so much WRONG with this spiel that it’s hard to know where to start!
I have a friend who, when talking about the state of the world, ALWAYS ends up at “well, maybe Christ will return soon and put an end to it.” My gut feeling is that is the easy way out. I believe the Lord would expect us to do our best to overcome evil. He wants us to be victorious. It would be easy for our Creator to just scrap it and start over (or not), but that would be letting Satan win. It must be shown that God’s creation is ultimately mightier than Satan.
Sounds like he is espousing dominion theology even though he doest come right out and say it.
Matthew 10:13-15 New Living Translation
Jesus Christ’s Direction to his Apostle-Evangelists
If it turns out to be a worthy home, let your blessing stand; if it is not, take back the blessing. If any household or town refuses to welcome you or listen to your message, shake its dust from your feet as you leave. I tell you the truth, the wicked cities of Sodom and Gomorrah will be better off than such a town on the judgment day.
Why does he think these two are mutually exclusive? We are all going to die and in terms of eternity our time on earth is an eyeblink. To not consider where you will spend that eternity, and to prepare for it, is folly. That doesn't mean you can't engage the world, while you are in it, and spread the Gospel to all nations. But..."The Spirit gives life, the flesh profiteth nothing."
His bio is ughhhh, interesting. He is a self described as the first ordained christian transhumanist. I had to Google transhumanist. Christian Post has has really fallen deep.
You may be referring to this from the Apostle Paul:
Romans 12:
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
The “therefore” is referring to salvation by grace alone, is it not?
Grace and works must be kept separate in the New Covenant.
I have moved on from places that openly advocated for the Democrat party line.
Found some nice, comforting places that had very sharp and engaging leaders to CHALLENGE the minds and spirits of attendees.
Not interested in Politics from the pulpit.
Heaven ain’t the first stop; we will all go to Judgement.
Just live your life in such a way, that if & when you do arrive at those pearly gates, the words that you hear are:
“Well done my friend. Welcome.”
People are leaving the Church because it is chock full of paedophiles at the top who cover for those paedophiles who interact with the laity.
“Not interested in Politics from the pulpit.”
Wouldn’t mind it if it was on the right (ie God’s) side for a change.
