The Pope is now stretching to connect things that are not connected. I am pro-(most) illegals. And I can state that there is no connection between a position on immigration and a pro-life position. No connection from the perspective of pro-lifers. No connection from the perspective of pro-abortionists.

This kind of criticism results from rhetorical dishonesty of calling the anti-abortion position “pro-life.” For bad reasons, the anti-abortion people thought they had to match the dishonesty of the pro-abortionists calling themselves “pro-choice.”
