This kind of criticism results from rhetorical dishonesty of calling the anti-abortion position “pro-life.” For bad reasons, the anti-abortion people thought they had to match the dishonesty of the pro-abortionists calling themselves “pro-choice.”
It was a transparent attempt on the part of both sides
to seem more righteous by being FOR something
(bless your heart) rather than being AGAINST
something (you are a negative person).
