You’re right....they sputter. Only once did one half way agree. It is very awkward for them.

And when I do it, they don’t know I’m a conservative. I make it a casual comment, and in a tone where they think I’m a lib. I’ve found that being very adversarial to strangers is not effective. And arguments must be made where they can relate on a personal level because 99% of them can’t see the big picture.

Most don’t have a clue that there is even a big picture. That’s why I say it must be presented on a personal level. If they see how liberal policies adversely affect them on a personal level, they can begin to grasp the situation.

Liberals are very selfish people and as you know, group think is all important to them. They are happy to be counted among the “collective”. It feels so good. Everything is touchy-feely.
