“locum tenens”

I’m very surprised they don’t have or didn’t use a Greek term for that.

The term must have been in use long prior to AD 1054.

“The term must have been in use long prior to AD 1054.”

Maybe, but I seriously doubt it. I bet it’s just some thing that has become a near universal because of it’s place in secular law.

My Dad belonged to St. Michaels on the East Side. Serbian Orthodox. I heard they moved to Indiana though.

No, they moved to the outskirts of Lansing, Illinois. They finished building a beautiful church out there about 15-16 years ago.

Maybe we will get down there and see it one day We’re a few hours away by car. I miss being able to visit the cemetery at Oak Hill.

The church is worth seeing. Some of my wife’s people are buried at Oak Hill. Oak Hill is in much better condition these days. They got into trouble from the city a few years ago for not adequately keeping up the grounds. They got their act together and, with the help of some very active volunteers, they got the place to look pretty nice.

It’s been 3 years since I have been able to get there. My grandparents, great grandparents and 2 great uncles are there. Narantic and Vukmirovich.
