Proving my point again that the Catholic, when the discussion goes against them, gets personal.
A 'wise' person would make sure that the fix is in to the judge or a few jury members.
Luke 16:1-9 English Standard Version (ESV)
1 He also said to the disciples,
There was a rich man who had a manager, and charges were brought to him that this man was wasting his possessions. 2 And he called him and said to him, What is this that I hear about you? Turn in the account of your management, for you can no longer be manager.
3 And the manager said to himself, What shall I do, since my master is taking the management away from me? I am not strong enough to dig, and I am ashamed to beg. 4 I have decided what to do, so that when I am removed from management, people may receive me into their houses.
5 So, summoning his master's debtors one by one, he said to the first, How much do you owe my master? 6 He said, A hundred measures of oil. He said to him, Take your bill, and sit down quickly and write fifty.
7 Then he said to another, And how much do you owe? He said, A hundred measures of wheat. He said to him, Take your bill, and write eighty.
8 The master commended the dishonest manager for his shrewdness.
For the sons of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own generation than the sons of light.
9 And I tell you, make friends for yourselves by means of unrighteous wealth, so that when it fails they may receive you into the eternal dwellings.
Yeah; but they'd only garner 10-12 replies.
The choir members wouldn't have anyone else singing off key to complain about.
Good Idea!
Declare Victory! and leave the field of battle.
That ELSIE posted to me AGAIN!
There’s much more about Hell than there is Heaven in the Bible.
What comes on each and every one of these posts is Contending for the Faith. Such behavior is right in line with Jude 1:3.
I've heard that one man's trash is another's treasure.
Roman Catholics can't seem to discuss their 'own' without some how, some where, finally bringing Luther and his damned followers into it.
Blows up yer caucuses every time.
I'd think you learn to deal with it by now.
Boiling oil is NOT gonna make a comeback anytime soon.
Only if he doesn't reference Protestantism or any other religion, which he frequently does.
If he does, then it's automatically ineligible for the caucus label per Religion Forum guidelines.
“It just gets tiresome with you and your crew hijacking every thread.”
ED - as the Religion Moderator clearly stated in an above post, when a thread is posted in this forum ALL are free to post, comment, and discuss. Therefore, your “hijacking” comment is disingenuous. If you TRULY want to discuss your denomination with like-minded FReepers, take it to another, denomination-specific, forum and discuss to your heart’s content. Since you don’t do that, it could be that you post on the open forum to purposely goad others to respond.
Always interesting that the Catholic identifies with a denomination. Christians identify with Christ. There is a difference.
I personally like the open discussion.
It provides an opportunity to engage in an exchange of information. Some is received some is rejected.
It's been my experience that until you're challenged to explain what you believe you may not really know what you believe.
And again the Catholic proves my point they are the first to get personal in these discussions in spite of that being against the thread rules.
What? I mentioned no one individual in my post. It must mean that you somehow feel that you yourself or individuals you hold in high regard, resemble my remark.
Well if the shoe fits... You seem embarrassed to wear it. One should think you would ware it like a badge of honor and go nacing about in it for all to see.
Your reply(or non-reply for that matter) reminds me a bit of a former high level official, who shall remain unnamed, off prompter.
You made it personal when you addressed me. You are now attacking me personally. That is against the rules and you are the culprit and I am your victim. Just as you make Christ your victim whenever you bear false witness against His brothers and sisters.
