Paul
I completely reject that. Paul was as Catholic as anyone else. But if we start that debate up, we are arguing Biblical exegesis and not Patristics.
Lets mark Paul “disputed” for now.
Anyone else outside the NT?
Paul constantly insisted on the authority of both forms of Apostolic Tradition, Oral (plus lived example) and Written.
Paul tells the new Christians about a dozen times to "follow his example," be "imitators" of him, hold fast to the "traditions" he has passed on to them.
Clearly they were doing this before there was even one single written Gospel, and continued doing it even after they had the four Gospels. There is no way Paul was preaching a "Scripture ALONE" church.
1 Cor 11:1-2
You are to imitate me, just as I imitate Christ. Now I commend you for remembering me in everything and for maintaining the traditions, just as I passed them on to you.1 Corinthians 4:16
Therefore I urge you to imitate me.Philippians 3:17
Join one another in following my example, brothers, and carefully observe those who live according to the pattern we set for you.Philippians 4:9
Whatever you have learned and received and heard from me, and seen in me, put these things into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.1 Thessalonians 1:6
And you became imitators of us and of the Lord when you welcomed the message with the joy of the Holy Spirit, in spite of your great suffering.
You are incorrect. Paul believed that the Sacrament of the Eucharist is the true presence of Our Lord of His Body and Blood.
You have indicated that you do not believe as do most protestants.
