• #4 is often used in regards to physical ailments. But it's context is that of temptation. God wont allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear. But everyone of us will eventually see our bodies succumb to more than our bodies can bear, as we are all going to experience physical death.

Can I add the misquoting (misuse) of Jeremiah 29:11?

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Often given to someone in stress or need at a specific time.
This prophetic statement was for Israel, which was captive. The “good” or “welfare” wasn’t fulfilled for another... 40 years? 70? I can’t remember off the top of my head, but this verse is used out of context as a “feel good” verse all the time.

I’m trying to get past my Christian friends who believe seeing a cardinal is visit from a dead relative.

I love the Ray Comfort book entitled “God Has A Wonderful Plan For Your Life” and the cover art is the stoning of Stephen.

Personally, I would like to hear Christians pray without saying the word "just" in any form except with regard to law.

Example: "Father, we just come before You today..."

Or this one “Angels are near when cardinals appear”. I have also seen “Loved ones are near”.
There are a dozen cardinals in our per tree right now. Either I’m having a spiritual party, or the feeder is full. I’m betting on the feeder.
