The Bible makes it very clear that babies and children do not go to hell...even if their parents are wicked.

I checked. It doesn’t seem to exist. We are sinful from birth.
Psalm 51:5: “Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.”

Where is this age of accountability in Scripture?

I can make a good biblical case for all babies going to heaven, and that’s my personal belief, but it’s not enough to build a doctrine or make bold assertions. I believe we must be silent where the Bible is silent. God is holy and just. He will do what is right.

That is not what the Bible teaches.

I don’t give a flip what paradigm is being pushed at the Church of the Mega Mall

Yes but I’m sticking to what the Bible says...is there a better formula? lol

If there is God would disagree. Sticking with God.

Babies: Definitely “No!” They can’t make a choice to accept or reject Christ.

Children: Depends on the age. When a kid is capable of understanding that he was born a sinner, and he needs to accept Christ, that’s the line.

Mentally handicapped, old or young: If he is at the level when he can understand that he was born a sinner, and he needs to accept Christ, that’s the line. In Seminary I taught a SS Class of mentally handicapped kids. Some were some of the most dedicated Christians I’ve met in life.

2 Corinthians 5:8
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

The Atheist is using this to deflect the truth - he believes passionately in a god.

Himself.

A very tiny god.

That’s pretty much what I said in my little video...only I added the verses that back those points up.

I don’t know what happens to babies and small children.

What I do know is that whatever God does with their souls is more righteous and just than we can fathom.

People who throw out these strawmen should spend more time contemplating what Scripture teaches about where THEY will spend eternity.

Therefore, I DO NOT believe that GOD sends children to Hell just because they have not chosen Jesus as their Savior; ....

By that logic the abortionist, by default and not intent, is the greatest soul winner there is. Why worry about evangelizing them as adults when you can just kill them in the womb, or shortly after they are born, or up to the time when the child has its first cognitive utterance?

AppyPappy is more biblically correct when he says: "God is merciful but only to those who receive His mercy.... Psalm 51:5: “Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.”

The God of the NY

New York has it's own God?

Seriously, there is one God, both of the New and Old Testament.

You know what...I honestly think that they do that but only in temporary moments wherein they are able to believe their own bull. Deep down inside on a permanent basis they all know God exists. The Bible indicates as much.

It tends to drift into other churches in small bits and pieces.
When I was in the UMC, someone brought up “What can we say from the pulpit to get people to give more money?”. I thought that was a tad disturbing.
I now attend a non-denom and they don’t even pass a collection plate. When someone mentioned the church could make more money if they passed a plate, the elder responded “We aren’t here to make money”.

I didn’t watch the video. Just did a “drive by” post since we’re frantically packing for vacation tomorrow. Once we get settled on the cruise ship I can log in a catch up on the goings-on online.

There is SO MUCH happening now. It’s hard to keep up with everything. We debated on whether or not to by the free internet package on the ship. Decided to get it so we can keep up with what’s going on in our country.

We found we can’t always trust the info we get when isolated on a cruise. We were between CA and HI — five days at sea — the time of Cheney’s hunting accident when the friend was shot. Fox News wasn’t on their CCTV. Only CNN. Imagine the coverage! We were in a truth vacuum. Now there’s internet available. Hooray!

The only problem with that is Scripture shows otherwise. When they killed Christ they weren’t acting as evangelists and He was innocent. Likewise when Herod killed the children under two and so on. God simply secures the innocent regardless of the many horrendously wicked events happening on earth.

I was taught at a young age that according to church doctrine, if you are not baptized the child will go to hell and the parents will be held accountable.

Was raised in the Eastern Ortho. faith.
