The Pope ISN'T the Catholic Church. JESUS is.
Also the BISHOPS are the real "worker bees" of the Church as they are spread far and wide over all of this earth...even in China.
Francis is still a bishop as well.

Remember the Pope is NOT the Catholic Church. JESUS is.
Popes come and go. At 80 years of age, this pope won't last too much longer. Then the cardinals (under 80 years of age) will elect another pope.

This pope CANNOT destroy Jesus' Church. NO ONE can. The Church has seen MANY a bad pope...remember the Medici family. BISHOPS run the Church throughout the world...NOT the Pope.

I only wish that were enough, but I agree with cloudmountain. The pope is not the problem. If this pope’s papacy came to an end, either by death, resignation or removal, he would be replaced by another Modernist who is equally disgraceful. As evil as the behavior that this man has demonstrated may be, and I do see his governance as evil, he is only continuing the heretical thinking that was spawned by the Modernists of Vatican II.

Cloudmountain is correct, the problem is the bishops––and not just the German, Belgium and other European bishops––all of the bishops. Some, and only by comparison, appear less destructive than others (such as Burke et al), but not one of them appear to have the spiritual courage necessary to correct the serious and ongoing errors of the Church. But until we see one or more of them step forward and advocate a return to the teachings of the Church during the days of St Pope Pius X, the Church will only continue to erode.

And yes, there would be a price to pay for that bishop that steps forward to please Jesus Christ and not mankind. He would probably be quickly removed by the pope. But when faithful Catholics recognize that his removal was for following the true teachings of the Church, other bishops who recognize that their current path will only lead them to perdition, they will follow in his path. Then and only then might it be possible to see a change in direction.
