I do see him stepping down. Got to remember that he considered “yesterdays news, and not so popular any more.” Popularism is spreading like wildfire across the west, just look at our own recent election of Donald J. Trump.
This pope is not going anywhere. Unless he is deposed he is in for life - whatever that may be. The upshot is the church will grow around him, in spite of him and without him.
