The difference is that Israel will USE their arsenal when confronted with the final fact of what this world intends for them. The other nations will suffer.
In that vein, who is to say that is not what “the MOST high” not intends?
Anyone who has any confidence in Israel's future should read Scripture in this context.
So then, the entirety of Israel gets condemned by the smug because parts of it hosts a parade (I don’t know factually that this happens, BTW)?
I don’t think that this is a blanket biblical indictment worthy to condemn the nation state of Israel, frankly.
I'm still trying to figure out how anybody would see a Divine purpose in a Middle Eastern state that calls itself "Israel" but is really a bastion of leftist radical secularism.
No, Trump isn’t going to make it happen, God through His people will do that. Trump is only evidence of God’s good plans that he has in mind for the next few decades before it all comes crashing down.
Remember, when it comes to the end times - the main subject of I & II Thessalonians - the recurring theme is God’s “COMFORT” for his people (1 Thessalonians 2:11; 3:2,7; 4:18; 5:11,14; 2 Thessalonians 2:17).
God wants us to rest in his goodness and to NOT be afraid. When it is time for God to judge the earth whereby almost the whole world will die in the Tribulation, he will come for us as a thief in the night (1 Thessalonians 5:2). He will always take care of us. Thank you Jesus.
In that vein, who is to say that is not what the MOST high not intends?
The scriptures say we are told the end from the beginning, so I'm not too sure the above is what the most High intended. I'm much more certain of His knowing our tendency to rebel against how He commanded mankind to live together on this planet.
“I don’t see how this can end without a nuclear exchange, except a majority of people in this world turn to God and away from sin. And I don’t see that happening soon enough. “
What always amused me about nations like Iran saying they will obliterate Israel is if they try and succeed, the Palestinians will suffer the most losses.
We have opinions were we agree and disagree. On the above, we both agree. :)
The Iranians (or other Muslim nations) care far less about the Palestinians than God fearing Israelis. They're only using them as pawns in their primary goal of Islamic world domination.
As for the forgotten story of the Israelis living under the terror of Palestinian rockets, listen to this piece by Nehimia Gordon: Hebrew Voices #32 City of Rockets
"In this episode of Hebrew Voices, City of Rockets, Nehemia Gordon journeys to the Israeli town of Sderot on the border of Gaza. With the help of Hands of Mercy, an international humanitarian organization, Nehemia brings you the real-life experiences of this war-torn community. You will meet the innocent people who have been suffering for over fourteen years from brutal rocket attacks, perpetrated by the radical Islamic militants who rule Gaza. City of Rockets is an inspiring message of hope, faith, and co-existence in the face of brutal terrorism. This episode contains sensitive material, which may not be suitable for young children."
That’s cool, but I urge you to pray about God’s plans regarding Luke 14:23 - the great, merciful, and final in-gathering which I believe we haven’t yet seen, to finish filling up the guest list for Marriage Supper of the Lamb - before his horrific judgment to come.
It’s alright. the Jews will vote Libtard no matter what.
Agree that it hasn't come, but what drives people to God more than tribulation?
Come, for all things are now ready.
Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in here the poor and the maimed and the lame and the blind.
Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.
For I say to you that none of those men who were invited shall taste my supper.
This parable relates to those who thought they were "of Christ" prior to the trib. vs. those purified during the trib., IMO.
It backs up the prophecy that many will be gnashing their teeth on Judgement day.
Many will come to God during the Tribulation, but as He did with Noah and Lot, so God in His mercy will take those that are His out before that great and terrible Day.
The first 3 1/2 years will be wrath mixed with mercy, so many will come to God (Rev 7) but ALL believers will be killed (1/2 of the earth is killed, believers and unbelievers, by the end of the first 3 1/2 years) except for a remnant of Israel. The second 3 1/2 years will be UNMIXED wrath (Rev 14:10) and no one will come to him. The only saved people in the world will be the remnant of Israel hiding in the mountains (Petra I believe).
So read and re-read I & II Thessalonians which says God has NOT appointed us to his wrath (the Tribulation) and be comforted.
I plan to someday write a book about the end times which I hope will help clarify for and comfort God’s people and warn unbelievers.
2 Th also says that day will not come until:
1) falli g away first (which arguably is taking place in our day)
2) man of sin revealed who:
3) sits in temple of God [no temple yet]
4) telling himself he is God
So, 2 thru 4 are lacking.
And they suffer cognitive dissonance in ignoring the couple hundred (at least) nukes Israel has that she WILL use if threatened with extinction. You can take that to the bank.

And when Trump moves the American embassy to Jerusalem, what are the “70” going to do about it?
bump
May 2018 is the 70th year since the rebirth of Israel. That seems significant.
When Ginger Spice at the UN refused to veto that awful December 23 resolution, the Lord reminded me of Psalm 2.
1 Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain?
2 The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their chains and throw off their shackles.
4 The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them.
5 He rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath, saying,
6 I have installed my king on Zion, my holy mountain.
7 I will proclaim the Lords decree: He said to me, You are my son; today I have become your father.
8 Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.
9 You will break them with a rod of iron; you will dash them to pieces like pottery.
10 Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth.
11 Serve the Lord with fear and celebrate his rule with trembling.
12 Kiss his son, or he will be angry and your way will lead to your destruction, for his wrath can flare up in a moment.
Blessed are all who take refuge in him.
Psalm 2 NIV
Believers need to adopt God’s attitude. He knows the end from the beginning, and His Truth is in His Word. Nothing the world does will change what is written. Let them conspire all they want, as it is all in vain.
As Believers, there is one thing we must do...
1 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people
2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior,
4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
1 Timothy 2:1-4 NIV
And...
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May those who love you be secure.
7 May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels.
8 For the sake of my family and friends, I will say, Peace be within you.
9 For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, I will seek your prosperity.
Psalm 122:6-9 NIV
Baa and bleat
The signs of the things to come are already starting to appear, but we along with the Holy Spirit will be taken up before "that Wicked is revealed".
God bless.
