I agree. The difference in discussion is that I don’t even open a thread for protestants, while there are a crowd of protestants just waiting to comment on every Catholic thread.

It gets old.

Like the statement ‘Jesus wasn’t Catholic’

He sure wasn’t protestant, since they didn’t exist till 1500 years after his crucifixion!

He was not roman catholic nor were the original disciples and apostles.

He started Christianity. Those who follow Him are called Christians.

Those who follow a church are called roman catholic.

There is a difference.

Nobody said that until some Catholic came along and claimed He was.

If Catholics don't want to heat it they they shouldn't provoke my making flame baiting statements like that.

Any lies posted are going to be countered so that people can know the truth.

And the truth is that Jesus was Jesus. Not a Catholic or not any other denominations either.

He was neither. Actually, He was Jewish. Still is. Only a Jew could be the Messiah. The Pharisees didn’t hate him because He wasn’t Jewish. They’re eyes were blinded. They hated Him because He made Himself equal to God. They conveniently forgot all the OT prophecies concerning Him. He revealed their hypocrisy, and they hated Him for that, too. But, it was God’s plan before the foundation of the world, that he should be crucified, that they should reject Him, and He take away our sins. “The son of man must go as has been determined, but woe unto that one by whom He is betrayed” Like 22:22. All the apostles were Jews. It was not until God revealed it to Peter, well AFTER Jesus ascended, that gentiles could be in the Body of Christ. Before that, the apostles all believed that Jesus was sent for the Jews, only. Jesus, Himself, said he was sent to the lost sheep of Israel. But even then, He would occasionally minister to gentiles, before He ascended. The Catholic Church believed and taught for centuries, that Jews were cursed, as “Christ Killers”. It was absolutely imperative that the Jews be responsible for sending Jesus to the cross. He didn’t condemn them for it, save the one who betrayed Him, Judas Iscariot. Since all the apostles were Jews, it would have been pretty strange if He had condemned Jews.
