Please also draw our attention to our own failings. Please continue to chisel and chip away at our edges and transplant our hearts of stone into hearts of flesh.
Clean house in our souls so that the Holy Spirit may dwell without hindrance. Renew our minds. Cleanse our thoughts. Transform our habits and lifestyles.
May our lives on earth be an ever increasing reflection of Your incarnate Son.
Lord, as you revive each of us. Please revive all those around us: our neighbors and our loved ones. Please heal and revive our beloved nation. Please fuel our lantern lamps of liberty, justice, and brotherly love.
May we truly be that shining city upon a hill envisioned by the early pilgrim settlers.
Please thwart all attempts to cast our nation into the throes of darkness, doubt, sin, and death.
Please strengthen individuals, especially the likes of Donald Trump and Mike Pence, to overcome their own weaknesses as they rely solely on your strength.
Please humble and calm our anxious nation. Give all our citizens clarity and perspective as we take the mantle of leadership as members of the sole superpower nation in the world. We each are responsible for leading the world into the coming age.
We are setting an example to people in places suffering under tyranny of every sort. We must keep the hope of freedom alive for all!

May Your Spirit permeate this place. May You work miracles.

Father, thank You for Your blessings, forgiveness and faithfulness. Thank You for Donald Trump and Mike Pence! Thank You for sending them to lead our country. With Your guidance, America can be on the way to healing and a better place. Father, we pray that every individual in America who is for Trump would vote for him, that those who would consider or intend to vote for Hillary would have the scales lifted from their eyes, that they would see the good in Donald Trump, that they would remember the babies, life that you created, the Constitution, the Supreme Court, the security of our nation, the wall, and the economy, and the all the goodness that You will bring to our country. We pray for Trump to win, O Lord. We pray the polls would show that Trump is further and further ahead and that wickedness can not prevail, that even the pollsters will concede this. Answer our prayers, Lord, and may it be for Your glory and our good. In the Name of Jesus, amen!

Thank the Holy Spirit for that one...And many times I use the Living Bible from 1970s because the language is plain and direct.
