Hello fellow FREEPer prayer warriors and believers!
This evening, we got an email from our employer that portends some very bad news.
To put it simply, one of the adults in the household is highly likely to be facing reduced (perhaps down to zero) income in the very near future. We use this income for, as you can imagine, to pay essential bills.
We care for an elderly relative, living at home, who has dementia. And we care for a youngster in college.
Essentially this is, dare I say:
Not good.
So, God is greater than all of this and He is not taken by surprise, right? He is sovereign over all of these things.
I humbly, very humbly, ask you to pray for us once or twice or more if you can, asking Jesus to be with us and to help us cope. Ask for a new stream of income/job that will help us pay the bills.
We have begun in earnest already cutting our expenses. Sadly, some of this is in the form of charitable contributions we make monthly.
Some of it is expendable monies, too, of course. But we really aren't too foolish in our spending, at least in my opinion.
But I ramble. We will also need God's strength to explain this situation to the child.

May God bless you with His peace and strength. His ways are never ones I would have imagined, solutions come from unexpected places when I seek Him.

Almighty Father, in the Name of Jesus, we pray for Soflofreeper’s financial situation, that if possible, there would be no job loss, but nonetheless, that income would be greater than ever for this family. We pray your favor and blessings upon them. In Jesus’s Name, amen.

This jolt may last a long time, so hunker down, start clipping coupons, buying used items that you need, and looking for casual cash or barter employment.
I will pray that you set your mind to this, and are provided opportunities to scrimp and do without, creatively. And let your prayers be those of thanking God for this opportunity to experience no-frills living and planning for next week's needs, like the rest of us.

I have a relative, who just had to take a 4000 dollar cut in income, in Boone co. WV. Because of the war on coal, and the lesser tax dollars on coal.
Jesus. Allow us to battle these tyrants. And to battle until their is no battle left.
May everyone who is suffering from the liberals,have at least, a moment of peace.
And if we may ask, Jesus, how about we win this big one?
Dear Father in Heaven,
You are a good and generous Father, and we praise You.
We pray for SoFloFreeper’s family during their time of uncertainty. Provide them with additional sources of income so they can maintain their livelihood. Encourage them and strengthen them.
Not our will, but may Your will be done.

Steps are already being taken. We have a strong “Christian work ethic”, believe me.

I am so sorry to hear this. Through the Lord Jesus Christ, may God provide the necessary opportunity to provide for your needs. Our family may face a similar predicament in the coming year. We have been praying and studying God’s word and have learned that fretting is not in the plan. Having faith in God is the way. Getting into a situation like this is God’s way of bringing you closer and then delivering the right miracle at the right time.
In answer to your request, prayers will be coming often for you guys. Have faith and God bless.

I’ve been put through this wringer several times since 2008, myself. I sympathize more than you know. Prayer is very helpful in providing calm and inner peace when you need it. God will provide, just be open to answers that may not be quite what you expected.
