You may have one you may have many, the more the merrier!

If there was any a time in the history of these United States, where the preserved word of God, is
sorely needed, it is in these days. This thread is not intended to be a place where all the KJV
critics come to debate on why they don't believe Almighty God can preserve his word, (If you don't
believe God can preserve His own word for all eternity, then how can you possible believe He can preserve
your soul for all eternity?) instead this thread is intended to be a place where people who still believe:

Psalm 12:6
The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnance of earth, purified seven times.

can come and post their favorite KJV Bible verses, no commentary needed, but if you want to give a testimony
as to why a particular verse is one of your favorites, please do so.

Thank you for the verse...let's walk around God's preserved word, and see if we can't Zoom in a little.

Matthew 14:17
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

First thing we might ask is why? Why will there be few who find the way which leads to life? One thing we do know. God did make a way that leads to life.

John 3:16
'For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,'

But not everyone in the world gets everlasting life, do they? There's a condition,

'that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.'

And that condition again, depends on belief..Do you believe in Him? If you believe in Him, (the Jesus of the Bible) then you're believing in the word of God.

Psalms 119:105
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

In this verse, we see that it is His word that gives us the light we need to see, and with the light of God's word, the path will be found.

Once again, your words are a comfort. Thank you.

But what about some kid who neglects some scriptures and elevates the wrong priorities?

He believes in Jesus — his parents don’t take him to church though. And he gets so mixed up that he kills people for the sake of animal rights?

But he honestly thinks he is doing what God wants.

~~~
I remember when I was in high school I did not see why homosexuals should go to hell. To me they weren’t hurting anybody. Minding their own business, etc. I was/am straight, but I didn’t want them to burn — still don’t to be honest.
The kid has to pay his debt to society, but he can still be forgiven by God and washed in the blood, as long as he repents, and believes in and accepts Jesus sacrificial, subsitionary death on the cross for his sin.
If he does not believe he has sinned, then his heart is beyond any human reach. But praise the Lord! God can still reach him with His preserved word.
Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart
Perhaps God will provide a way for the kid to sit down and really get into His word.
God does not want sodomites to burn in hell either, so much so He sent His only begotten Son to die for them on a cross. Remember hell was not prepared for any human regardless of who they are:
Matthew 5:41
Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
But unless one turns to Biblical Christianity that is where they end up, but God does not want them there.
That’s the thing.
Miracles have touched my life. I know God is real. And I know that hell is as real as Heaven.
The thought of people suffering in hell forever — horrifying.
So based on your interpretation, the way people are raised in the US right now is sending most of them to hell, the culture they are exposed to.
It’s like a lottery.
A lottery is based on chance, and even if you believe you will win big, there is zero guarantee of winning.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is based on God's promise, and if you believe it, then eternal life is guaranteed.
I don’t have the exact verse ... from memory:
There is no greater love than to lay your life down for a friend.
The other:
God is charity. [aka ‘love’]
I personally believe that love can cleanse the soul — it is not as realiable as Jesus because we never feel perfect love all the time.
But some sodomite out in the battlefield who jumps on a grenade for his buddies? I like to think he goes to heaven ... LIKE to think.
Of course, it is better if we all feel fear for our souls, but I like to believe that selfless hearts full of self sacrifice are a kind of ‘window’ to heaven.
All I can say is, Praise God that His standard is not man's standard. God's standard is perfection, man's standard is "Hey, my good deeds should out weigh my bad deeds" but then heaven would be filled with wicked, vile unrepentant sinners, who may have done a few good things in their lifetimes.
If that were the case, and if heaven was filled with those type of people, I wouldn't want to serve the Lord, because heaven would be a horrible place to spend eternity, and our heavenly Father wouldn't be a just, righteous and holy God.
I was certain you would respond with the requirement that we be baptised.
I tell you — a lot of churches would baptise anyone.
I respect some atheiests more than some Christians.
~~~

I’m just pouring my heart out — questions that I’ve yet to find answers to.

But God is real. Heaven is real. And hell is real. That much I’m certain of.

I’ve seen signs. I’ve heard compelling testimonies. And history has documented signs, miracles, and wonders.

‘... if heaven was filled with those type of people, I wouldn’t want to serve the Lord ...’

It’s one thing to judge people in court, politics, employement, and as friends.

It’s quite another to judge peoples’ souls.

You should be glad that you don’t need to pass eternal judgment. I know I am. I fear for sinners. I don’t want anyone going to hell forever. A thousand years in hell is a very long time for anyone.

A lot of apostles were shocked when God blessed Saul of Tarsus. But of course, God need not advertise his mercy in advance.

I was certain you would respond with the requirement that we be baptised.

We are required to be baptised, but the baptism we must go through to get to heaven only God can do. And that baptism happens the moment you receive Christ as Saviour. It's an inside job.

Titus 3:5
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Now for the opposite tack.

I would rather pray for good people than for those on the brink of damnation [Gal 6.10]. Do you agree? I used to get disgusted with Christians who focus all of their thoughts and help to the wicked rather than people who migth bear good fruit.

Does that include lost family members?

Based on standard interpretation of scripture, praying for the damned could take up most of our time.

When do we help those who are more likely to bear good fruit?

Bearing good fruit is nothing more than holding the good fruit that God has produced. Pray for who Jesus commands you to pray for (Matt 5:44), live your life according to God's preserved word, then sit back and watch God produce good fruit in your life.

Then hold on to it.

Don't fret, nobody ever gets over burden with the good fruit God gives them to bear.

Thank you for the verse, how beautiful the dichotomy. When Christ was finished with His earthly work, He brought forth eternal life.

The complete opposite is what sin brings forth when it is finished. Death.

James 1:15
Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Thank you for your post, even David knew how wonderful it is to follow the Lord.

Psalms 23:6
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Thank you for posting, what a blessing to know, that whomsoever is on the Lord's side, God will give His peace to.

Deuteronomy 12:10
But when ye go over Jordan, and dwell in the land which the LORD your God giveth you to inherit, and when he giveth you rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell in safety;

In view of what is at stake in the upcoming election:
ISAIAH 45
45 Thus saith the Lord to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;

2 I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:

3 And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel./blockquote>

Could Trump be our annointed Cyrus???

Very good, very good. Let's hope so, because if not take a look at what happens to the smith's who make our personal defense weapons.

1 Samuel 13:19
Now there was no smith found throughout all the land of Israel: for the Philistines said, Lest the Hebrews make them swords or spears:

Or perhaps our Government just confiscates our guns entirely:

1 Samuel 13:22
So it came to pass in the day of battle, that there was neither sword nor spear found in the hand of any of the people that were with Saul and Jonathan: but with Saul and with Jonathan his son was there found.
