Your link is to another fallen man. Don’t just read the Bible, but study it and pray and He will be faithful and give you the right answers. You are missing the whole point of Communion. It points to the Cross the New Covenant nothing more or nothing less.

A symbol, a pointing. Would have been so easy for Christ and the Apostles to just say that: it’s just a symbol; it just points!

How much you have lost from what Christ gave us. Much more that a mere symbol.

>>>Obtw it’s NOT tradition it’s Scripture!

Scripture according to you. It’s your tradition, almost certainly handed down from other’s tradition.

Some scripture, you hear in accordance with Protestant traditon, other you ignore or wish away or explain away as something meaning not what it says, a ‘symbol.’:

“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you; he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him” (John 6:53–56).

“Scripture according to you. It’s your tradition, almost certainly handed down from other’s tradition.”

Galatians 2:20 Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)

20 And I live, now not I; but Christ liveth in me. And that I live now in the flesh: I live in the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and delivered himself for me.

What part of the Scripture can’t you understand? You say tradition, but it’s plain and simple English right there in front of you how can you not understand the words and call it tradition? Obtw I didn’t get my understanding from tradition as I wasn’t raised in a Church. I as and adult searched for the answers about Christianity with many ungodly traditions that I had put into my own unbelieving head. As the Holy Scriptures proved me wrong then I accepted Christ into my life and every since God has revealed more and more of His truth by His Glorious Word.

You on the other hand I’m betting you have never ever looked or searched outside your own little circle of what you call reality.

“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you; he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him” (John 6:53–56).”

So Scripture from OT through NT says not to eat blood, don’t you think maybe that is figuratively and not literal or are all those Scriptures wrong? If you claim exception please give me a Scripture and verse.

Leviticus 7:26
Leviticus 17:10
Leviticus 19:26
Deuteronomy 12:23
Deuteronomy 12:16
Deuteronomy 12:24
Deuteronomy 15:23
Acts 15:20
Acts 15:29
Acts 21:25

“Would have been so easy for Christ and the Apostles to just say that: it’s just a symbol; it just points!”

Did the apostles understand that Christ would be hung on a cross, buried, and resurrected three days later? Why couldn’t they understand? Christ repeatably told them it was going to happen. OT prophets prophesied of his death, burial, and resurrection still they couldn’t see it.
Do you know when the end will come?
Do you know what the mark of the beast will look like or be?
Do you know who the antichrist will be?
Do you know when the abomination of desolation will occur?
Why did just a few men see the star of Christ’s birth?
Why on the road to Emmaus did two Disciples of Christ not recognize him until he left them?
If you want to play they should have said it plainly game then you will never start to understand God and His Word.

Your right noting new, but your religion has changed major points of your religion even though the Bible hasn’t changed and you claim all this handed down tradition from Peter. If Peter handed it all down you wouldn’t change a thing. So was Peter wrong or you religion since changes have occurred.

They sure did after it happened. And St. Paul certainly knew.

They didn’t teach what you teach, nor did the Church until Zwingli.

Back atcha.

I post the scripture you disagree with the plain meaning. In *your* interpretation - your ifs ands and buts.

Your view would have the Church getting it wrong from the get-go and for 1500 years.

You’re welcome to your interpretation and your history.

If it weren’t for Catholics, would you have anything to talk about in your religion?

I notice a theme... Defined by what you oppose, who you are not...

You do embody your tradition: PROTESTant.

Oh poor God he just couldn’t do it without you catholics.
I can just hear the Egyptians saying to the Jews you would have never gave the Word of God to the world if we hadn’t enslaved you for 400 years. Your god sure is helpless so much for the Jews and how they brought us the Oracles of God.

Yes I do oppose certain things my God teaches me that.

I'm not aware of any female pastors or prophetesses in the one holy catholic apostolic church.

If by one holy catholic apostolic church you mean the Catholic church, then there is evidence that the Catholic church is not the true church, as the Holy Spirit poured out on the true church on the day of Pentecost gave women the ability to prophesy.

Acts 2:16-18 But this is what was uttered through the prophet Joel: “‘And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams; even on my male servants and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy.

Acts 21:8-9 On the next day we departed and came to Caesarea, and we entered the house of Philip the evangelist, who was one of the seven, and stayed with him. He had four unmarried daughters, who prophesied.

The instruction about women is about being in leadership positions, in authority over men.

It says nothing about exercising their gift of prophesy.

John 6:63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.

Eating a wafer puts the wheat in your body. It does not put Jesus in you heart or spirit.

Acts 17:24-25 The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man, nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything.

Ephesians 3:14-19 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith-that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Wrong. Just read through the Protestant devotional threads and you'll see plenty of what we are and how we identify and what we have to talk about.

I notice a theme... Defined by what you oppose, who you are not...

Actually, it's CATHOLICS who identify us by what we oppose. Not a one of us has ever called ourselves *anti-Catholic*. That is a term coined solely by Catholics and used to identify those who disagree with their church's teachings.

Don't go labeling us yourselves and then go on and tell us that that is how we identify ourselves. That was Y'ALL's idea. Not ours.

Why do Catholic ignore Scripture? Why do they claim that it doesn't mean what it says?
