Just a suggestion and a question.

If you are trying to inform, you might possibly try to “feed” us in small bites rather than shoving an elephant in our mouth and washing it down by opening a fire hydrant.

My question is; Did you think or do you think anybody is going to read the entire post you just made? What was the point of that mashup of material?

This is a common misunderstanding. Catholics do not worship on the Sabbath, which according to Jewish law is the last day of the week (Saturday), when God rested from all the work he had done in creation (Gen. 2:2-3). Catholics worship on the Lord’s Day, the first day of the week (Sunday, the eighth day); the day when God said “Let there be light” (Gen. 1:3); the day when Christ rose from the dead; the day when the Holy Spirit came upon the Apostles (Day of Pentecost). The Catechism of the Catholic Church says: “The Church celebrates the day of Christ’s Resurrection on the ‘eighth day,’ Sunday, which is rightly called the Lord’s Day” (CCC 2191).

The early Church did not move the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday. Instead “The Sabbath, which represented the completion of the first creation, has been replaced by Sunday, which recalls the new creation inaugurated by the Resurrection of Christ” (CCC 2190). Sunday is the day Catholics are bound to keep, not Saturday.

Revelation if read in context describes the nation of Israel in 12:1.

I agree with you. There are many references to other articles. I think in this period of time of great confusion, when even Catholic bishops are no longer in agreement about the fundamentals of our faith and morals, people might go back to it to find information when they begin to realize that things are not going right but are having difficulty putting their finger on the sources of the problem or understanding that the Truth, Who is Jesus (Jn 14:6) does not change, even with beautiful words to convince us.
No one reads the Catechism of the Catholic Church for adults from cover to cover, but they go to the CCC as a reference when they want to know what the Catholic Church truly teaches. Maybe this article can be used in a similar way.

Really? Do tell because somebody changed it. Show me the verse in the Bible where it was changed and not some CCC2191. I'll tell you what I find in my Bible. Dan. 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High, and think to change times and laws.

which according to Jewish law is the last day of the week

A correction. It wasn't Jews who made the law. God wrote it in stone (signifying permanence). So it is Gods law not the Jews or Hebrews. Romans 7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy and just and good.

So Christ’s prayer “that they may be one, as you, Father, and I are one” (John 17) was essentially a waste of time?

Not at all. The sheep are to be one, but they are also to be separated from the goats. In our sinful nature, we do not seem to be able to accomplish the latter without messing up the former, but the prayer is still to be fulfilled.

I'll tell you what I find in my Bible.

You could also consider looking at another portion of your Bible, Romans 14:

"One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. The one who observes the day, observes it in honor of the Lord. The one who eats, eats in honor of the Lord, since he gives thanks to God, while the one who abstains, abstains in honor of the Lord and gives thanks to God. For none of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself. For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's."

This article was posted in the category of Catholic. I do not think this is the place to try to explain all the differences. If one is truly seeking the truth before God, God will not deceive such a person, and with perseverance, this person will progress toward the Truth. After death, for all eternity, no one ends up in heaven by chance, and no one ends up in hell by chance.

True 'dat. But I also read for context and meaning. The preponderance of evidence weighs heavily that this refers to holidays and extra religious days separate from Gods immutable Commandments. Just like we have the fourth of July or Christmas now. They had declared holidays (sometimes by emperors decree or local religious leaders). Matt 5:17,18 clears this up nicely Think not that I have come to destroy the law, or the prophets. I am not come to destroy but to fulfill. For verily I say to you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.. Heaven and earth have not passed away.

You are the one who brought up people changing and reading the Commandments to suit themselves on a public forum. If you do wish to engage so be it. Quit posting and I shall bother you no more.

Anyone have an example of recent ex-cathedra pronouncements which aren’t long settled and widely accepted (in and out of Catholicism)?

1950 - Assumption of Mary

To that you could add all of the Marian dogmas of the roman catholic church.

I’m sure you have much to do, as I too have much to do. Thus I offer as the explantations:

Sorry, I don't do the read our book thing. If you can't tell in your own words or use Bible passages, I'll pass. That's what Jesus and His Apostles did. They should be the example. Gods Word is the True Compass for Truth. John 14:15 IF you love Me, keep My Commandments. It boils down to if we love Jesus OR our denomination which preaches another message.
Peace be to you.

How do you elect a pope thats not Catholic?

How did the U.S. elect a a President thats not American?

This pointy hatted pontiff is doing the Catholic religion no favors. I am embarrased he calls himself a christian. Just as bad as the Irish Catholic Michael Moore standing in front of Trump #1 with a sign that reads, “We are all muslem”.

These men’s intellectual and faith based opinions need to thrown out with yesterdays cat droppings.

I usually have a bit of trouble just straining on a gnat, let alone swallowing an elephant washed down by a fire hose.

The “Prophecy of Saint Francis” (http://spir-food.blogspot.it/2013/11/prophecy-st-francis.html):
2. The power of the demons will be greater than usual, the immaculate purity of our religious community and of others, will withered to the point that very few Christians will want to obey the true Sovereign Pontiff and the Roman Church with a sincere heart and perfect charity. At the decisive moment of this crisis, a personage not canonically elected, raised to the Pontificate, will endeavor to administer shrewdly to many the mortal poison of his error.
7. Some preachers will keep silent about the truth and, denying the truth, they will trample upon the truth. The sanctity of life will be held in derision by those who only profess it outwardly, and for this reason Our Lord Jesus Christ will send them not a worthy Pastor, but a destroyer.”

This is like the spoiled arrogant children throwing out the parents who tell the children what is best for the children (the Catechism of the Catholic Church for adults) and the children not only say no, but they throw out the CCC, and anyone else in the “old time religion” which still holds to the Ten Commandments!

Clerical Menendez brothers.

66 years ago isn’t what I meant by “recent”.
Rephrased: that time span would mean several popes have said nothing of primary importance.

"As always as I have wrote..."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Stopped reading at that introductory declaration of ignorance.
Saved reading through an exorbitantly long, sophomorically-written, error-riddled, navel-gazing, blather...
