Sounds like both flew off the handle, a recipe for ugliness at the least, and probably worse.
In egregious cases situations like this have gone to court and resulted in precedential rulings in favor of private citizen rights.
I hope the cameras caught enough of it to reveal definitely what happened.
And sometimes it seems to need an act of Congress, virtually speaking, to curb some of the abuses. Hardly anyone seems to be as interested in truth in these encounters, and then enforcing a reasoned set of consequences, as in trying to get as much mud as possible to stick to the other guy while personally wrapping oneself in as much teflon as possible.
God Himself will fail to bless a society which condones this.
