I love "America The Beautiful" too!
The foundation of that song says it all:
= Materna, "Oh Mother Dear Jerusalem"
America isn't like the other nations. Her soul is different. The enemy is on full attack to infiltrate and destroy her body, mind, heart, and spirit. Her soul, however, is completely out of reach. It's what drives the enemy insane.
Kind of like Num 24:16. What Balaam saw such that he couldn't curse Israel.
Balaam took up a parable. He saw the vision of Shaddai falling and [its] eyes revealed. It's the simple meaning, because its *what he saw*. The vision (parable) of Shaddai. Falling (from above to below, from the spiritual into the physical world, in a parable, such that he could see it). He saw the eyes (the soul) of the Almighty, which were revealed through the vision.
"I am WHO I am", Exodus 3:14. Exactly.
That midrash concerning Moses and the coin (Exodus 30, Shekalim).... same thing. The sages knew what they were writing. The Midrash IS a parable which is the simple meaning.
God showed Moses a coin of fire "in order to explain" how a coin could atone for a soul. What is the plain meaning in the Midrash is that Moses DID in fact understand, because it was revealed in his eyes. He SAW that it was a coin of fire, because it was reflected in his eyes. That's how you know he saw it, and understood that it was on fire.
Otherwise he would have asked God, "Fire? What fire? I don't see any fire."
"Tzaphnat Paneach" or "Megillat Esther". Same meanings: revealing of the hidden. Hidden in plain sight...
Yosef is still alive, and he his a parable (mashal, see Strong's H4910/11/12) over all the land of Egypt.
Thinking about infiltration -- such an apt description of what we are witnessing (once beyond denial, one by one!) in that one word; physical and spiritual aspects.
Infiltrate: to secretly enter or join (something, such as a group or an organization) in order to get information or do harm; to cause (someone) to secretly enter or join a group, organization, etc.; to pass into or through (something)
Infiltration: the act or process of infiltrating; the state of being infiltrated; Military: a method of attack in which small bodies of soldiers or individual soldiers penetrate the enemy's line at weak or unguarded points in order to assemble behind the enemy position and attack it from the rear, harass enemy rear-area installations, etc.; a system of transporting troops or vehicles at extended and irregular intervals so as to avoid enemy observation or attack, especially from the air. --
Interesting. Seems I read something about this recently...
