All true. But then he said all those other things :-)
AFL-CIO, SEIU, International Lady Garment Workers, Teamsters?
My marriage is very different from those unions.
My children, on the other hand, are kind of like SEIU goons ...
Or stop calling yourself Catholic. I don't care what the anti-Catholics say anymore but Catholics I hold to a higher standard. So if your motivation is to bash him for whatever he does just let me know. I'll know to ignore your posts too in the future, just like I ignore all the other anti-Catholics anymore.
Show the documentation that proves he didn't admonish them at all or shut up.
Here's what the homo said after he and his "husband" met with Bergoglio:
>>Grassi said the Pope has long known that he is gay, but has never condemned his sexuality or his same-sex relationship. In the video, Francis says he recalls meeting Grassi's boyfriend in Rome.<<
>>"He has never been judgmental," Grassi said. "He has never said anything negative."<<
And here's what the lesbian said after she and her fiance met with Bergoglio:
>>"But if this Pope has a long life, which all of his followers hope," Neria says, "I think things will change."<<
So why don't you practice what you preach, Fourty-seven, and shut-up?
Why did Jesus associate with tax collectors, prostitutes and other sinners...speak with them, love them and even heal them?
Please remember that he utterly SHOCKED the super pius and very traditional followers of religious laws of His time.
Thank you for a very good post. We are not required to agree with ANY Pope on matters of economics or science. We ARE required to pray for him and show respect for him. Respectful disagreement is these areas is good...though we should always be praying far MORE than disagreeing.
If one does not pray MORE for the Holy Father than one criticizes him, it is sinful....and further divides the Body of Christ. That is the teaching of the Church.
;-)
If I am correct, the quote you offer from the CCC (thank you for that quote) is from the Ignatian Exercises, Point #22.
It has been a mainstay for me for a long time.
Thank you for this post.
What *things?* And who said he said such *things?* Were those *things* presented within the proper contextual framework?
Overall, when we share *things* are we fostering unity and love of the brethren or dissension?
Funny you should mention that as St. Ignatius is one of my favorites. I love the Examen Prayer and his teaching regarding the Discernment of Spirits. These things really help us grow in our relationship with God and assist us greatly in overcoming our own sinful tendencies.
Thank you for your kind words. ;-)
Your posts encourage me. We are “companions on the journey”.
I, too, pray the Examen Prayer and know the importance of his Discernment of Spirits.
Well...your posting has brought a wonderful joy to my day as well. Yes, we are “companions on the journey.” We are on the Way....the way of the Passion and great joy...and we are definitely NOT alone. Many people are discovering this way anew...and all of this is extremely hopeful to me.
The greater the cultural deterioration around us...the more the Body of Christ is being quietly and strongly restored in profound ways.
:-)
Why did God destroy Sodom?
When did Jesus associate with sodomite couples?
What sodomite couples has Bergoglio healed?
Not only that, we are commanded to not agree to ANY heresy preached, or allowed preached, on matters of faith and morals by a pope.
Pope's encouragement of airing heresy is severing the Church
With all due respect to Patrick Buchanan, I’m not interested in what he thinks the Pope believes (without the words of Francis to conclusively back up such suspicions). Again, post proof (of Francis’ own documented words) showing his lack of support of traditional marriage or just stop. You’re in danger of calumnity against the Pontiff.
As an aside, as I said then (at the conclusion of the synod) I personally believe he is going to come out in support of marriage (by upholding the ban on administration of the Eucharist to divorced and remarried) when he comes out with his exhortation sometime this year (the buzz is that that will come probably sometime around the feast day of St Joseph, so soon).
Wait until then. Otherwise you’re just participating in breathless, conspiracy theory type nonsense that further divides the Body. All of this, Buchannan’s post included, is just unsubstantiated paranoia.
Thank you.
