Thank you for a very good post. We are not required to agree with ANY Pope on matters of economics or science. We ARE required to pray for him and show respect for him. Respectful disagreement is these areas is good...though we should always be praying far MORE than disagreeing.

If one does not pray MORE for the Holy Father than one criticizes him, it is sinful....and further divides the Body of Christ. That is the teaching of the Church.

Not only that, we are commanded to not agree to ANY heresy preached, or allowed preached, on matters of faith and morals by a pope.

Pope's encouragement of airing heresy is severing the Church
