Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois has written to Pope Francis, criticizing "hateful" public remarks by Cardinal Nicolas de Jesus Lopez Rodriguez of Santo Domingo about the openly homosexual US ambassador to the Dominican Republic.
The Illinois lawmaker said that the ambassador, James "Wally" Brewster, has shown "patience and professionalism" in the "mean-spirited attacks" by the Dominican cardinal. He appealed to the Pope to stop the cardinal's "intolerant public statements."

Apparently it is not fascism when Democrats do it
Wow. Dick Durbin? Hadn’t heard from him in a while. Thought he had died.
Dickie called the Cardinal’s “daddy” on him.
What a POS.
Whine, "What's with this intolerant Christianity stuff all of a sudden, Frank."
I can see why he'd be a bit surprised.
So what has the Cardinal said that’s so bad?
But I thought liberals supposedly believed strongly in “separation of church and state”?
Dick Durbin - richly deserves excommunication. On every issue, he has firmly aligned with the Nancy Pelosi and John Kerry positions, and just as firmly, has completely denied his Catholic origins.
Perfect example of the “Dhimmi” that has surrendered every article of faith and allegiance to whatever there is of both the Catholic Church and the United States of America, to favor, with great prejudice, the Islamic cause.
This person has absolutely no redeeming social values or economic sensibilities, and is the exact antithesis of any American or Roman Catholic values.
Michael Moore has more of a social conscience. And uses it more wisely.
Which is not to say much.
‘Wow. Dick Durbin? Hadnât heard from him in a while. Thought he had died.’
One could only hope.
Dear Dick, F U!
And how is this not coming up on the radar of all those who seem to think that our Constitution contains some sort of separation of church and state?
I suspect that the cardinal would not even know about this ambassador’s perversions if he had kept them to himself.
LOL!
If there was a charcter named Dick Durbin in a movie, what kind of movie would it be?
Turbin Durbin, one of the biggest POS in the Senate.
ROFL!!!
Durbin is no longer a Catholic in practice.
