Sounds like the devil was listening and answered them.

The thief comes to kill, and to steal, and to destroy.

If you’re going to open the door to him, don’t act surprised when he does what he does.

Whine away. That band is conservative. They even played Israel and made a point of basically flipping off the boycott Israel crowd.

Not everything is an Everly Brothers cover band or only sings from the Baptist hymnal.

While these may be the lyrics to one of Eagles of Death Metal song, the fact that they were actually singing this song at the moment of attack will take a bit more truth than word from a religious blog.

I am no fan of the devil or its many incarnations and while the lyrics are insipid and not as creative as say Sympathy for the Devil, I will still need more proof that they were singing this song at the moment of attack

They had just finished "Save a Prayer". They had just launched "Kiss the Devil" and the first shots rang out.

There is a photo in the Daily Mail (and elsewhere) of happy fans, many making the horn sign. I thought that's just love in sign language. Almost. In love the thumb is thrust outward. They clearly have their thumbs wrapped around their fingers folded toward their palms. You can look up the picture; I don't want to embed it.

It made me shuddeer when I saw this and read the song title in the Daily Mail, but they are young. many knew the words in English and were singing along.

I've been praying, saw some in Paris praying which was solace that not all is lost, they are young, many young get into this kind of music. I'm too old for it but remember fighting with my daughter over "Highway to Hell" and such. Now my 49-year-old daughter likes Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Kim K. Taylor Swift is pretty but has sunk pretty low in crap singing. Is there nothing clean left? I play old songs on yt lol. The Last Farewell, Roger Whittaker, love that and several others, never was into Elvis although my generation. My parents didn't approve.

I pulled up the song on yt. Most of the omments are in French. I can understand a little of it, guess I could have used their translator. The whole band got out and in 2 days was on the way home. There was an article somewhere of how they had put out a request to all their friends on FB to run one of their other songs to the top. A lot of people commented along the lines that it was a sleazy thing to do to try to make money on top of the tragedy.

Those lyrics. They are satire. The band is a rock and comedy act, it’s camp not Satanism. Good grief.

What were they singing in Beslan? What were the people singing on the planes on September 11, 2001. What were they singing in the towers and Pentagon?

Not your typical 21st century minstrel ...

The Devil and Jesse Hughes: The Donald Trump-Supporting, Drug-Hoovering Frontman for Eagles of Death Metal Will Not Apologize for Anything (2015-10-08)

And yet Hughes’s opinions tend to be unequivocal. Barack Obama is “non-f***ing American-born.” George W. Bush is a hero, because “a dude who does blow and likes ZZ Top is my kind of motherf***er.” The theory of evolution is for fools who believe in “magical talking monkeys.” Rehab is bullsh*t — he’s been there twice, though he acknowledges that “no one can do drugs like me.” And while rock and roll might be part of a culture that he believes is ruining life on Earth, it also saved and then transformed his life.

“God has always been and always will be. We can’t transcend that limit,” Hughes says. “I believe when you have a practical acceptance of this, it answers a lot of questions immediately and it really frees up the space for enjoyment.”

These, “Well, then, they deserved it” types make me sick. A lot of people who call themselves Christian aren’t very Christian.

Was it the soccer balls or the soccer players that caused the devil to attack the stadium?
