This is a silly article.
IMHO, the question is when PapaFran speaks against the revisionists and innovators, will he end up with the kind of grief PapaPauloVI got?
The wilder of the synod fathers are going for an Anglican style answer, one that takes a thousand words to say, “Whatever ... .” That’s the temptation and peril here.
I’m betting that if they push too far he will come out clearly against them. This, I think, is a warning shot.
I think you're wrong; Francis has been pushing this agenda since the beginning of his pontificate. He stacked the deck for this SinNod ,which has nothing to do with the traditional family but everything to do with adulterous or homosexual "unions".
I pray you are right, FRiend : /
Dear Lord, give us strength.

Thanks very much for this post.
I remember well the grief that Paul VI went through. Hundreds of American priests had already prepared a signed draft of rebuttal to the encyclical.
He came through with Humanae Vitae. And his predictions of what would come if the encyclical was ignored have come about.
I remember Archbishop Fulton Sheen telling about the time he had a conversation with Pope Paul VI; the Pope told Bishop Sheen: “Every night when I put my head on my pillow I lay it on a crown of thorns.”
While mentioning Pope Paul VI, I would like to add this; his little-known, short encyclical -..”Mense Maio”....is well worth reading, especially in these very critical days.
