[Vanity] Questions and Answers About Islam

Posted on 10/14/2015 7:21:45 PM PDT by cradle of freedom

I have done much reading and learning about Islam as well as doing much questioning about the subject. Here are some puzzling questions about Islam as well as some answers.

1) What is Islam? Islam is a warrior cult begun by a cult leader named Mohammed.

2) If Islam is a cult, how did it become so big? Mohammed lived in what is now Saudi Arabia a land that was populated by tribes. There was no law each tribe made up its own rules. Mohammed gathered a band of fighters around him and started making war against the other tribes. He could pick the weakest tribes since Mohammed was the one who chose when to fight. When he won a battle with another tribe he would give the losing tribe an ultimatum --convert to Islam or be killed. When they converted to Islam they instantly grew Mohammed's army and they were allowed to go on the lucrative raiding parties. When Mohammed defeated all of the Arabian tribes, he formed a very large army that was comparable to the armies of neighboring nations. He then began to wage war against other nations.

3.) Why are there so many Muslims in the world? There are over a billion Muslims in the world today because the Muslims conquered many nations using the convert or die strategy. They formed an empire.

4) What is jihad? Jihad is any war or provocation designed to subjugate non Muslims. Jihad is not about a private inner struggle with the inner self as Muslims sometimes say. That is a lie to throw off non Muslims.

5)What is the ultimate goal of Islam? To kill or force all non Muslims to convert to Islam.

6)Is it true that the Muslims had a great civilization? They conquered the ancient Middle Eastern countries and took over their advanced countries. These countries were rich from being on the trade routes so the Muslims became wealthy and acquired much of their knowledge.

7)Is it true that the Muslims were tolerant of other religions? Some Muslim leaders were more tolerant than others but nonMuslims had a second rate status known as the dhimmis. There is much persecution of Christians and others even today.

8)Are all Muslims jihadists? Many Muslims are peaceful but a large minority believe in jihad. Many mosques teach jihad. Western influences have had an effect in the Muslim countries but there are still mosques that urge Muslims to wage war against non Muslims.

9)Why do women wear the hijab? Women wear the hijab to show that they are Muslim women. Muslim women cannot be touched but non Muslim women who can be easily spotted because they do not wear the hijab are fair game.

10)Muslims say that the Muslims, Christians and Jews are all people of the book. The Muslims do not have the Jewish or Christian Bibles only some mentions that they twist to their beliefs.

11)Do Muslims have the same morality as Christians? No, Muslims have one set of behaviors for other Muslims and another set for non Muslims. They are not required to treat non Muslims fairly. They may deceive non Muslims.

There are a lot of things in that system that look like a mocking or defiance of gospel.

I believe it worth noting: that to look at this at an earthly level is, by definition, to fail. Only the supremacy of Christ will win, and God is not going to exercise that on the behalf of the unwilling. Atheism won’t cut it. A “Christianity” that conflates itself with mere human morality won’t cut it. Basically anything that is supported out of pride won’t cut it.

Christendom must get serious about embracing Christ personally, not just engage itself in various ritual celebrations, or it will weaken and dwindle. Christ asked whether, when He returned, He would find faith on the earth (the hint seems to be that the answer is no).

I would further suggest that a person read the quotes of Sun Tsu. "The Art of War"

In that read he states that one should never underestimate one's enemy and that one should completely know one's enemy.

Completely knowing your Friend is even better, but there wasn’t any Messiah known to Sun Tzu.

Everyone recognizes Hitler as being the essence of evil but in this politically correct time there is a double standard. You cannot criticize Mohammed today because he is a “religious leader” of a billion believers, well as I stated he became a cult leader because he was vicious and had some luck in the beginning.

There have been mass murdering monsters throughout history—Attila the Hun, Genghis Khan, and Mohammed. I think that Mohammed should be put in the same category as those two. Mohammed had a cult which made him even more dangerous than Attila the Hun and Genghis Khan because it was Islam that has kept the murderous legacy of Mohammed alive for 1,400 years. The evil that Attila the Hun and Genghis Khan did are dead and gone but the evil of Mohammed has been a curse on humanity until the present day.

Pre-Islamic Arabia's religion was one of superstition. Belief in jinns (genies), curse casting, magic stones, totems was the norm - and it was against this background that Allah arose. Although the Quran is claimed to be a heavenly writing with no earthly source, evidence of these very sorts of cultural influence is found in such places as Suras 55, 72, 113 and 114.

Animism, the belief that spirits inhabit rocks, trees and other elements was also very commonplace. Some of these stones were venerated and used as a focal point for the worship of a particular tribal god. No surprise, Muhammad's family had just such a stone for their own tribe - a black stone, in fact, that they kept at the Kabah (where the tribal idols were set up). The pagan rites of bowing toward Mecca, making a pilgrimage to the Kabah, running around it seven times, kissing it, then running to the river to throw stones at the devil all found there way into Islamic practice.

The final piece of the puzzle was in found in the religion of the Sabeans, an astral religion that worshipped the moon god and planned their religious rites around the lunar calendar. One such rite was fasting from crescent moon to crescent moon, a practice which would also be adopted by Muhammad.

If these things were not present before Muhammad received them from Allah (who himself is the moon god of Muhammad's tribe), why did Muhammad not have to explain what those words meant in the Quran? How would people have known who Allah was? ( or: what a jinn was? what the Kabah was? what the word Islam meant? etc.). Even the word "Islam" which many believe to mean "submission" was not an original word. In Arabic it was a secular term that denoted the strength and bravery of a desert warrior (a definition that accurately reflects the war-like tribes that founded Islam with bloodshed).

The Moon God "Allah" is from the compound Arabic word "al-ilah" or in english "the god". Allah was known before Muhammad's time without a doubt. His name has been found in pre-islamic writings and other archeological finds. At the Kabah in Mecca over 350 gods were worshipped, but it was built especially for the chief deity - the moon god. Allah was the personal title of the moon god. Allah was married to the sun goddess. They produced three daughters, whose worship Muhammad would later make the mistake of condoning. The crescent moon symbol of Arabia came from this god.

Muhammad's family revered this particular god, and it is this idol that Muhammad declared to be the only true god. So, Allah - far from being the revealed God of the Bible as Muhammad would have us believe - is nothing more than an amplified pagan idol. Muhammad did not re-make the pagan god, he simply removed the lower deities from the rites of worship. That is why he never had to explain who Allah was.

By definition, an idol converted in the 7th century into a new god cannot be the same God revealed thousands of years earlier to Biblical prophets!

Mohammed was not the first to come up with his religion that combined aspects of the Jewish, Christian and Arab religion. He stole the idea from another preacher.

You are the one who posted this thread looking for information about islam and mohammed. All I tried to do was provide some information of possible interest along with links to more sites.

Now it seems you wish to criticize me for that.
What's up with that? I never presented myself as some expert.

You ever hear the saying, " Don't kill the messenger"?
So sorry I troubled you.

we agree—and sadly I fear Islam will continue to fulfill the Blessing given in Genesis until the Messiah comes.

I think there might have been some misunderstanding. I was not criticizing you, I merely added this note that I have read that Mohammed imitated another preacher at the time who tried to combine the three religions. Thank you for your posting. I liked your post and the artwork. Peace.

They say that a picture is worth a thousand words—well here is a video that is worth a million words! It is a you tube video of a Palestinian cleric delivering a sermon, complete with a large knife in hand!

He is gesturing wildly and waving the knife as if he is stabbing someone. There are English subtitles. You have to see this and save it and pass it around to people that you know. He is instructing Palestinians to gather in groups of 3 or 4 and stab Israelis. Guess what happened yesterday—a full blown intifada complete with a stabbing of an Israeli citizen.

This will open the eyes of people who are still in denial about the nature of Islam. Have you ever been in a church where the preacher holds a knife in his hand while imitating someone stabbing people? Religion of peace my foot.

Yes. I'd say there was a misunderstanding. You posted this #26:

Mohammed was not the first to come up with his religion that combined aspects of the Jewish, Christian and Arab religion. He stole the idea from another preacher.

In reply to My post #25:
That one stark sentence seemed to me (and a couple of other FReeper FRiends who shall remain anonymous) to be an admonishment for not "having my facts" in order OR some sort of criticism for not having proper understanding of the subject at hand.

Thank you for your post #29 and that clarification.

There is a popular belief, especially in America, that all people, deep down, want democracy, individual liberty, toleration, peace, and equality under the law. While undoubtedly true of many, this modern ideal assumes that everyone is the same; that anyone who is educated in the ways of Western democratic, ideals will embrace them if given a chance, and that inequalities in the world are the product of bad governments, not bad people.

The reconstruction of Germany and Japan after WWII, and the successful adoption of democracy by those countries, appeared to validate this notion and emboldened the U.S. to employ the same nation-building strategy in the Mid East. Among these Muslim nations, however, universal democracy has proven to be an illusion leading to over a half century of misguided foreign policy that has repeatedly failed. In what can only be characterized as an embarrassing display of ignorance, the U.S. has consistently underestimated the depth and determination of Islam’s political ideology.[5] Nazism, Japanese imperialism, and Soviet brand communism were a mere flash-in-the-pan compared to Islamic supremacism, the roots of which go back fourteen centuries. Islamism is here to stay.

U.S. military and economic intervention in Iran, Iraq, Egypt, and even Afghanistan have failed either to hold Islamists at bay or to establish stable Islamic democracies. The so-called “Arab Spring,” which re-energized hopes of establishing democracy in the Mid East and Africa, has turned icy; in every country, fascist regimes collapsed under the pressure of popular uprisings, only to be replaced by radical Islamic governments. It is clear that many Muslims either prefer Shariah law to democracy, are willing to acquiesce to the will of militant Islamists[6], or have no capability with which to fend off the militant Islamists.

Thanks for your reply, that is jam packed with lots of useful information. I especially liked the little cartoon: if Muslims hate pork, dogs, bikinis etc. what are they doing here. Very funny and sums it up nicely.

Speaking of bikinis—look up “bikini, Dagestan”. Dagestan is a Muslim country on the Caspian Sea. The mullahs had preached sermons against women wearing bikinis. One morning a group of women showed up at a local beach. There were few people at the beach but there was a group of male wrestlers around where the women were. The women began to play volleyball by the volleyball net. One of the women stepped on a small bomb that had been hidden in the sand blowing off part of her leg.

The mullah that preached the sermon against women wearing bikinis had a group of wrestlers that used to hang out at the mosque. Likely, the wrestlers were the ones who placed the bomb in the sand.

After the bombing the government had separate beaches for men and women. Now women wear burkas to the beach.

They know how to get their way.
