mercy and compassion and agape love are all truly not abandonments of church teachings
they are rather CORE central to church teachings

but remember, good ecclesia, Jesus forgave and showed love..
but he also said that God’s Law is NOT abolished...
and when Jesus received a sinner, he forgive the sins... AND instructed the sinner to “go and sin no more”

balance, gentle clergy, balance.
Mercy and Compassion WHILE teaching God’s Law
they go together!
(indeed, you can’t have one without the other...)

mercy/compassion/forgiveness
and
God’s Law

are part and parcel of the same thing

these two halves of the whole... can’t be split apart
and
one half cannot stand without the other half

< Mercy Is Not an Abandonment of Church Teaching >>

That remains to be seen. We shall wait and see. The Pope is going to show his hand, one way or the other. We will see if Mercy means license.

We all know the drill and the direction it’s all pointing, and now it’s up to the pope to dead letter the mission from Hell that is permeating the magisterium by several faithless, corrupt, or completely ignorant members.

Call a spade a spade or float a lie. One or the other.

Cardinal Thottunkal explained that while it is important to understand and support each person in the reality they are living, it’s also necessary to help them receive God's mercy “in a more conducive atmosphere of conversion to the Lord.”

It is not moral to support active sodomites "in the reality they are living".

"..., because in many situations people are completely powerless over what has befallen them.”

The above statement by a worldly synod member, the member basically saying that “the devil made me do it is a valid excuse," is not scriptural. This is evidenced by the Holy Spirit leading Paul to write in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that God will always provide a way out to not sin when you are tempted.

Instead of saying “go and sin no more” the modern Church seems to be saying “go and keep doing it, its ok, we don’t want to be mean, sure we believe in certain truths but we don’t want to upset anyone by actually stating what they are”.
