Then came a black-and-white photograph from his confirmation to further prove his Christian cred.

Confirmation? That's a Catholic thing, isn't it? Why wasn't he groveling at The Pope's feet like the rest of those poor suckers?

Could also be Anglican/Episcopalian, Lutheran, or Methodist.

No need to panic. Trump is a Presbyterian.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Confirmation

Confirmation is a rite in many religions.

I grew up in the Presbyterian religion and was confirmed in my early teens. Trump would have been confirmed at about the same age since he is Presbyterian.

It is emphasized more in the Catholic Church, but it is not exclusive to that faith.

It is not a Catholic thing. I would imagine all churches have them. When I was about 11 or 12 I went through confirmation to be a member of our Methodist church at the time.

Confirmation is a rite in numerous mainline denominations. Most of them mistakenly construe it as Salvation, which it can be if part and parcel of it is a teaching of one’s absolute need of a Savior, and concluded with each participant personally praying the “Sinner’s Prayer”. I personally doubt if a very high percentage teach that way.

They have a printed formula that they’ve used for centuries; the supplicant follows that set of rails, and when they get to the end, someone dubs them a Lutheran or fill-in-the-blank, Christian and hands them a certificate.

At least, that has been my own personal experience. I didn’t get born again until I was 23 years old. That was 53 years ago.

There! Now the cat’s out of the bag.

Regardless of the “Religion” attached he was an active participant of his own will to follow God and his rules...

I would caution you and others from making such declarations as this in the future as God speaks against it in the Bible.

We have all fallen short of the Glory of God ad He alone decides the value and depth of each persons Faith, not Membership

God Bless

Rev Steve
