Ten Signs Something Big Is About to Happen
Rapture Ready ^ | 7/30/2015 | Gene Lawley

The impending crisis that the swirling vortex of signs and events is pressing upon this world brings to mind that song of Johnny Cash titled, “Five Feet and Rising,” where he progresses through the song’s narrative of flood waters overwhelming his family’s farm. [1]

Not only does it identify with all the turbulent storms and flooding in recent months, but it resonates with the flooding of crime, murders, rioting, sexual assaults and social immorality. Not a pretty sight, for sure! One of the prophecies proves my point, however, according to 2 Timothy 3:1-5:

“But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power.”

Earlier, in his first letter, 1 Timothy 3:1-2, he identified, perhaps, the root cause of today’s social and immoral degradation:

“Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron….”

Drug use is not a violent crime.

Not a rapture believer at all but that graph wouldn’t look so great if you counted all the children that are murdered.

I think back to our grandparents who lived through WWII, with the entire world at war and 60 million people, 3% of the total population of the earth, were killed, and think that what is going on today, while not to be dismissed, was nothing like that.

Then I go back to our great grandparents who lived through WWI, where 17 million died, I and think the same thing.

Then I go back through history and look at the Black Death in Europe, where by some estimations up to 60% of the total population of Europe died, and think the same thing again.

Remember Matthew 24:36.

I agree with you completely about that. Anybody who says he knows it lying. Someday somebody may get it right by being lucky, but nobody knows.

I’m merely commenting on people insisting how everything is getting better but often they aren’t looking at all the data.

Israel wasn’t again a nation back when those events happened.

Go back a few verses in Matthew 24:32 regarding the fig tree. The fig tree is symbolic of Israel.

67 years later we’re at the end of an Old Testament definition of a generation almost. Psalm 90:10

We as a nation elected obama
We as a nation elected the men and women who aided abetted or did nothing to stop obama

Collective punishment can be a terrible thing
It has been known in history ( perhaps in pre history) to happen>>>>>

Yep, no matter if it is personal or as a nation we reap what we sow.

Obama and the anti God thugs did not force them selves up on us.

The unbelievable apostasy we’re seeing, ignoring everything else, is enough to give us reason to believe we are in the last days.

Perhaps you should read some history. When Communism swept Russia and other satellite countries in the early 1900's, the average church dwindled from 300 to 15 - a 95% falling away. So called 'signs' in the USA are irrelevant. Israel is God's sign point to the world.

You’re not understanding apostasy, in my use of it. It is NOT a dwindling of church-goers, but a degradation of the orthodox doctrines of Christianity.

The scriptures speak of a great falling away. But even using your definition, you need to read up on the Inquisition. Have you not studied the corruption of Christian doctrine in Catholicism through the middle ages? What is happening today is nothing new for Christian doctrine. It is just old heresies being recycled. Israel is the sign post, not America.

Then what will the apostasy spoken of by Jesus and the Apostles look like?

It has been an aggravated felony for quite a while with loosening only in the last few decades. Still an aggravated felony around schools, minors, etc.

see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aggravated_felony

for list of aggravated felonies.

FBI - Violent Crime:

Definition

In the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program, violent crime is composed of four offenses: murder and nonnegligent manslaughter, rape, robbery, and aggravated assault. Violent crimes are defined in the UCR Program as those offenses which involve force or threat of force.

Um, not to hijack the thread or anything, but, question for the FBI’ies: isn’t that FIVE offenses not four? (murder and nonnegligent manslaughter, rape, robbery, and aggravated assault)

Hey, gives me a sense of security. Absolutely.

A better choice of a Johnny Cash rapture tune would be Going By the Book". Cool rock ballad in its own right, too.
