The science of the question was settled well before Jesus. In Matthew 19:4 Jesus refers to concepts of gender and marriage as axioms for a logical proof.

He probably has. It just doesn't fit into his world vision. Besides, there is something terribly wrong with a "Christian" who public states that they have never asked Jesus about (fill in the blank). One has to ask, "Why not?"
