What does this show us? Three things, I think.
It shows us that tolerance is over. I’m not breaking new ground here–but this must be said. Tolerance is dead. Oppenheimer’s piece ran all of two days after the SCOTUS decision on same-sex marriage. He wants to crush those who dare to stand against the fullest possible acceptance of what Harvard professor Harvey Mansfield has called “samesexuality.” Sexuality liberated from any constraints is now a full-blown worldview. This is paganism, 21st-century version. The body is all; sex is all.
The hippies now wear steel-toed boots. The earlier “free love” movement was all about doing what you want–live and let live. Today’s version of this pagan impulse is militaristic–live and you better approve. There’s a menace, a fury, in this cultural momentum. There will be no tolerance. There will be no dissent. Churches and organizations that stand bravely against the rushing tide of the late stages of the sexual revolution will be crushed.

Drop the Hammer on TIME
Commies always come for the churches when they come to power.
It scarcely needs be said that the Lord is bigger than these demons.
However, in order to bring His protection into the picture, faith also must return. Churches that persist in depending on “doctrine” or on “belonging to the right denomination” or “using the correct bible translation” or some other artifact rather than personally on the Lord, will find themselves powerless.
Tolerance was simply a weapon, to be wielded against the kindest and most generous people in the history of the world.
Now that the battle is over, it is no longer relevant.

This is chilling wordspeak, for tolerance is mere lenience extended by someone who has the option of not doing so. It is what was not extended in the 1600s to Protestant religions other than Anglicanism. It is what was extended to Catholicism in England beginning in the 1800s.
No. The United States recognized religious FREEDOM from the start.

Yep. Hitler (a socialist, which is the prelude or the door that opens the way for communism) removed the Christian images and replaced them with images of himself and hung flags with rainbows,.....er.....I mean swastikas outside the buildings. (His numerous boyfriends were hidden until he killed them. He didn't need no stinkin rainbows.)

David Horowitz also knew. He’s been trying to warn us for about 30 years. For a long time he used a tag line at the top of FrontPageMag:
“Inside every liberal is a totalitarian screaming to get out.”
The Weimar Republic had also left German churches pretty jolly weak. The scene was set for a cakewalk by Satan. Until the still fairly heavily Christianized Allies were pulled into the picture.
And before Hitler there was the Terror in France, the Bolsheviks in Russia, the Communists, Socialists, and Anarcho-Syndicalists in Spain, the Christero War in Mexico, Mao, Ho, Castro, Pol Pot. It never ends. They all go for the religious first because they cannot abide being compared to an absolute moral standard.

Harming a person of faith in any way is a hate crime. According to the lefts own rules on civil rights, speaking negatively about them is hate speech.
Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act:
Says we cannot discriminate on the basis of race,color,religion,sex (male or female), or national origin.
Christians - you have the exact same rights as blacks, women, etc.. Use them. You, too, are a protected class.
To do that poses another trap that most evangelism minded believers are reluctant to take. When appealing to Caesar (acknowledged duly that there is biblical precedent), it risks making God look weak.
