If Turkey invades Syria I predict that Russia will flood the opposition to this with massive amounts of weapons and cash. Face it, a weak Turkey is fantastic for Russia. It strengthens its hold on the Black Sea region as turkey is focused elsewhere and financially obligated to its efforts in Syria. Russia didn’t get to be as big as it is over the centuries without a ruthless sense of opportunity.
