It’s time to kneel down and pray for our nation

The Supreme Court came down in favor of same-sex marriage today. The Slip opinions are HERE.
Held: The Fourteenth Amendment requires a State to license a marriage between two people of the same sex and to recognize a marriage between two people of the same sex when their marriage was lawfully licensed and performed out-of-State. Pp. 3–28.

There is no provision for any state which has its own laws limiting marriage to two sexes. Thus, this is now the “law of the land” in all 50 states.
Who wins? Not society. Perhaps divorce lawyers.
It may be that this was as inevitable as the night which follows the day. I had hoped not, but with only a little hope.
And if your eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell.

And if part of nation is evil, cut it off and throw it away. It is better to have a smaller republic than live in an evil empire of sin and be throw into the hell of collective damnation.
This is not the time to look at your neighbor’s faults. It is the time to take responsibility for ourselves as followers of the One True God and pray for the people of our nation.
Are we praying together again at 11pm (2300 hours)? I’m in!

I pray, my church prays, everyone will pray on one particular day and all will finally see.
I think we today are a mirror image of Israel and Judah in Isaiah 3.
Count me in.
Maybe this becomes a nightly happening??

In the meantime, we are obliged as God's children to "pray one for another." To love our enemies; to love our neighbors; to love one another as Jesus loves us. In forum we may disagree on points, but now is the time to unite in begging God for help. Is it so much to ask? Is not love kind? Isn't it kind when one prays for another, simply out of love for the other people whom God created: simply out of love for God Himself?

Better to pray for all, even in righteous indignation. Jesus welcomed sinners to conversion. Isn’t it better to see a soul saved than to decide whom to pray or not to pray for... Give your prayers to Him and trust in His Will. God bless you!

Because a nation consists of people. Think of the children, the little ones scandalized by all this. Please pray, if for no other reason, for their sake.

Absolutely! I just found I was at a loss how to pray for the country itself. Fortunately the Spirit prays for us and with us! I went before the Lord and confessed I did not know best how to pray and asked His guidance.
You mean the 60+ million people that voted for Obama twice?
Boy I feel the same way, especially yesterday. I have a hard time praying for my enemies, but The Lord commands us to.

Mat 5:43 Ye have heard that it was said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy:
Mat 5:44 but I say unto you, love your enemies, and pray for them that persecute you;
Mat 5:45 that ye may be sons of your Father who is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sendeth rain on the just and the unjust.
Mat 5:46 For if ye love them that love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
Mat 5:47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the Gentiles the same?
Yes, I DO mean everyone. PEOPLE WHO ARE WELL DON’T NEED A PHYSICIAN... Sound familiar?
