Doctor Will Kill Healthy 24-Year-Old in Euthanasia Who’s Thought of Suicide Since She Was a Kid

The Belgian euthanasia insanity continues with the case of a 24-year-old healthy woman (Laura) who will die by euthanasia this summer for psychological reasons.

The June 19 DeMorgen article by Simone Maas explains (google translated):

She has good friends, loves good coffee and theater. And she has felt that she wanted to die ever since childhood. Laura (24): “Life, that’s not for me.” This summer, euthanasia will end her life full of inner conflict, depression and self-destruction. I met the West Flemish Laura at the presentation of the book ‘Libera me’ euthanasia for psychological reasons. Writer Lieve Thienpont is one of the psychiatrists who gave Laura a positive opinion for euthanasia. Euthanasia for psychological reasons is done when a psychiatrist agrees that the psychological pain that a person is experiencing cannot be relieved in a way that the individual finds acceptable.

That means, Laura may be treatable, but Laura has decided that the only acceptable “treatment” is death.

I wonder if she will donate her organs?

I have had several friends who have committed suicide and would have liked to ask them about it.

Like how did you work up the courage to pull the trigger? or why were you so cowardly? but they are not around to tell me.

Yes, it is not suicide, it is murder. The doctors should be helping her not participating in her delusion.

Is that her picture?

I doubt that's her. Looks like a stock photo.

I wish I could talk to her. I lost my mother November 18th, 2013 to inflammatory breast cancer. It hurt me a lot and I still get depressed about it. Still, I know I have a lot to live for and I'll be 49 next month. I'm slowly getting over it although the wounds never heal. Being depressed is no fun but one needs to get over it and try to enjoy life. It's said to see this young woman who wants to toss God's greatest gift away. She, like me, has a lot to live for.

I wish I could take her on a date and do things like bowling, going to Jamboree in the Hills (local country music concert here n the Steubenville, OH area), Jefferson County Fair, to a party celebrating my best friend's 50th birthday, trips to Kennywood, Pittsburgh Zoo, and so forth, there is a lot to experience in life and she wants to throw it away. It makes me sad. Most people fight to keep alive, I know my mother did. I would. The doctors who would "help" her throw away God's gift are nothing but murderers, my grandfather fought people who would do things like these all the way from Omaha Beach to Buchenwald to the Elbe. I hope someone gets to this woman and stops her for doing this and convince her she has a lot to live for.

Baby murder, drug death both real and metaphorical, assisted suicide of the depressed, euthanasia of the sick the death cult is expanding like all vice.

If this woman really wants to suicide, then it is her responsibly and certainly easy enough to do. This is about something else totally...

it is terrible and she is a pretty girl. Problem is, I’ve seen the type before, call them what you will or bipolar, manic depressive but they have a mental illness and it is depression. A black dog that they may not survive long enough to grow out of... that can take until they are in their 50s or not at all. It is a terrible disease, a conviction that nothing is good nor will it ever get better. Any glass is perpetually half-empty. The love of good coffee and friends are only pleasant punctuations that are seen as more bad because the good will end and be replaced by the black dog all too soon.

You can’t hug it out, reason it out, love it out or anything. If you think you can somehow reach out to these young women to bring them out of their despair you will most often be wrong and only be sucked into their grim vortex.

I know, bipolar disorder runs in my family. I know a two or three cousins have committed suicide over it, my cousin has it somewhat and I think I might have a touch of it from time to time. Stilll, I know in my case, my mother and grandmothers did teach me the value of life. I am pretty sure I also have Asperger's, I was tested on the autism scale when I was a kid. I'm a cynic most of the time but I still enjoy things like amateur radio and other stuff. I guess overall, if you look it up on tvtropes.org, I would be the "Knight in Sour Armor" and "The Snark Knight," my dark humor helps me.

Still, like you say, she needs help, not to die and along with pychiatric help, I think she needs to do things and find things to do to enjoy life as I said in my last message.

It's sad to see someone throw it all away. B-(

I'd throw them in prison, they'd be breaking big rocks into tiny ones for the rest of their lives.

I actually didn’t think the slope would be THAT slippery. That was fast. Now doctors will assist you to die if you are late on your mortgage or just had a rough afternoon. Geez. Anyone who DARED argue it would never get this far needs to start chewing his petards.

If the orientation progress goes this way, by 2020 people will be able to marry any mammal.

Medication helps depression a lot. With little to no side-effects, often.

Also, long ago, people put their melancholy into art or music or poetry. Look at Emily Dickinson, and all her death poetry.

I tell my (mildly depressive) teenage daughter that she can use her darkness to spark her creativity, and to develop empathy for others’ suffering. She has embraced this and started writing.

That said, life may still seem way too long for somebody like this person. I know that feeling, like “really? I’m supposed to hang around for another five or six decades? I can’t do it!”

Also, re: euthanasia. It’s one thing to want to take your life. It’s another thing to want someone else, such as a doctor or friend, to help you. You can’t burden their soul with that. Have the courage to do it yourself, by yourself, if you really want to. (And God have mercy on you.)
