My questions pertain to the tribulation they are as follows:
1. If there is a rapture, does it happen before or after people start receiving the mark of the beast?
2. If before is there some event that happens prior to receiving the mark of the beast?
I'm not looking to debate if there is or isn't a rapture, just where in the progression of events people are forced to receive the mark of the beast and we move to a cashless world.
We need to fight the imposition of a cashless society.
Even in Germany, a poll showed that 77% of Germans were opposed to a cashless society.
” ...It will be a long day”
Zechariah 12 v8- In that day the LORD will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and the one who is feeble among them in that day will be like David, and the house of David will be like God, like the angel of the LORD before them. 9”
What poll? Show it.
The poll was mentioned on FOX Radio news the other day.
I don’t know where or how FOX found that German poll.
Neither, do I.
This German reaction to going cashless is throwing a kink into things within EuroLand. Just google cashless society and this story comes up.
oh I believe in what that says word for word, but isn’t that at the last trump? the rapture is supposed to be way before the event in your post. besides I did address that in post 61
I found what you wrote to be interesting, I have been a Christian for over forty years, I have studied in much the same manner for the whole forty years whenever I address an issue. But I do not use a concordance ever, I allow god to guide me.
I’ll check the link out, thx.
One of the things I learned years ago is to read the complete book a minister is reading from not just the couple of verses he reads.
Context
Not to defend her position BUT, if the church is raptured and all that is left are those who received the mark and then some of them will be saved at a later date, then she is correct, some who receive the mark will be saved.
Heres a scripture that says some will be alive; my argument is that we are caught up, raptured, at the same time Christ returns.
But I know so many people who were looking forward to the rapture and they have all died with out seeing it.
So I relate that scripture to 1 Corinthians 15
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
Is Paul saying we shall not all die? I don`t think so, I believe he is just saying we will not all sleep in death but be changed at the moment of death.
It takes place at the last trump which must also be the last day since Jesus said I will raise you up at the last day.
Many had to sleep for hundreds of years but we can also ask the question, how long is the last day? is it a literal day?
Peter said one day with God is as a thousand years and a thousand years as a day so I don`t know how long the last day will be.
Rapture no rapture all that really matters is be ready.
The point is there are no CHRISTIANS forced to take the Mark because the CHRISTIANS are Raptured before the Tribulation arrival of the man of sin. That is what John has taught for decades. If you are worried about Christians tempted to take the Mark, relax, we be gone, baby!
Great link! Thanks
Well I've been studying Prophesy for close to 40 years and I've examined pre, mid, and post trib rapture theories, so I'll have to respectfully disagree with you. To understand the rapture you need to understand the Jewish feasts & wedding practices. It's true the word rapture isn't found in our Bible but neither is the word Trinity and most everyone accepts that word. The concept of the rapture is found though in the story of Enoch and Elijah.
Ok, I see what you are saying. However, we do not know when the Rapture will occur. It could be well into the Tribulation. Jesus only said we will not know the “day or hour”. The Bible is very clear regarding those who take the mark. Any opinion outside of God’s word that may cause people to take the mark is misguided, if not demonically inspired.
That is not the error she made. She impugned John as saying CHRISTIANS will be able to receive the mark and repent of it and be saved. There will be no Christians here during the Tribulation. John does believe some who are duped into receiving the mark during the Tribulation will repent of it and be saved, because the Holy Spirit will still be saving folks during the horrors. But Jan wrote that he said CHRISTIANS, and that is contrary to what John has taught for decades. So she had impugned a man based upon her mischaracterization.
A quick search on Google will give you hundreds of references to Macarthurs comments on the Mark. Look it up!
