I want to thank everyone for their well wishes and prayers in the last 2 weeks. My Mom passed on May 24 and we laid her to rest on May 29. Driving up to CT, my car started to fail, the air suspension system was tired, not knowing where it was failing, but on the way home, the warning alarm went off every 25 miles. When I got to Church the day after my mom's funeral, I got a flat tire on the highway that for some reason (THE GRACE OF GOD!) held out until I was safely in the Church parking lot! I received some benevolence from the Church that is our custom for those who lost loved ones, and I received 2 anonymous gifts, the total was quite a lot. So, I was able to buy a new tire last Saturday and purchased a conversion kit to replace my air bags with rear shocks for only $230, not the $275 they originally quoted me. Today, a Church member helped me (He did most of the work) in replacing the air bags with the shocks, and I saved over $200 from what I was going to spend to fix the car with labor and parts. God is gracious to me, a sinner smile emoticon . After removing the air bags, we saw that both air bags were worn and leaking through the rubber of each bag. Rom 12:9 [Let] love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Rom 12:10 [Be] kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; Rom 12:11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; Rom 12:12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; Rom 12:13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. Rom 12:14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. Rom 12:15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. Rom 12:16 [Be] of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. Rom 12:17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. Rom 12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Rom 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but [rather] give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance [is] mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Rom 12:20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Rom 12:21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Thanks for sharing. God is the answer.
My prayers are with you and your mom Race. It sounds like you’ve had more than your share of challenges.
Grief and Glory come arm in arm. Peace, brother.

I am sorry for your loss. May God bless you and keep your and yours through this time.
Are prayers so precious we cannot afford to spend
them for others?
Sorry for your loss.
tet.
Prayers for you and yours.
Sounds like you’ve come off a rough streak, Race. But it also sounds like your faith has sustained you. Better days await ...
a conversion kit is CHEAPER at PEP Boys, but two backyard mechanics did it in one hour less than PEP boys quoted, too!
they wanted 3 hours labor, we did it in 1.5
one engineer/mechanic, me and one race car mechanic, John :)
Sorry about your mom ... it is great assurance to know we can always trust our Father to care for us
You and your Mom are still in our Prayers!
And thank you for being you! God bless!
Good on ya! My daddy, a combat engineer, always said that he and a couple of buddies could do anything a shop could do! and so far as I know, they always managed.
Who am I?
Where am I going?
Where did I come from?
Oh, yeah, My Mom! :)

God bless you, RaceBannon and prayers for you and your Mom!
Those are exceptional passages from Romans, especially hard to keep in mind these days when dealing with Obots and Democrats, especially:
“Rom 12:20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.”
My condolences and prayers to you on your loss.
Race, please accept my condolences for the loss of your mother.
It’s been a pleasure meeting up with you on the Htfd Capitol bldg grounds, fighting the good fight.
I wish you peace, great health and fortune.
March on ~
