I interpret the Calvinist site to be fallible.
And we know about it because it was recorded for us in the scriptures..
Me too ...just as I do everything written by Romanists ...that is why we go back to the word
We’ll take God’s word, not yours.
And you find that where ??
Place Mark
You don’t know where God’s word is?
Knock me over with a feather.....LOL!
Ask the Duggars. To what cult do they belong again?
HMMM! Lev_19:16 Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour: I am the LORD.
These “FOOLS”. NO ONE SPEAKS FOR GOD. ONLY GOD CAN SPEAK FOR GOD. Now that doesn’t mean we can’t can’t talk to GOD. And whatever GOD tells us what we should do, we should obey. But HE left it up to us to choose what we should do.
These things I have spoken to you while abiding with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you. “ - John 14:25-26
“God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world.” Hebrews 1:1-2
“As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed!” - Galations 1:9
“For I would have you know, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ. “ - Galatians 1:11-12
Hmmm. This must have been intended for the article’s poster. Perhaps you should resend to her.
A Catholic asks that?
That's rich.
Seems to me that I heard something about Catholic priests and boys......
It’s for the gossip who is off topic.
Bless your hearts! Don’t forget metmom, you are part of my conversion story! Many thanks!
....she's here again....
Sometimes when a person posts things like this, it is not because he/she hates Catholicism....sometimes people are trying to justify, in their own minds, the very poor decision that they made to leave the church......if I can convince someone that Catholicism is wrong, then I'll be justified in my decision to try to prove that an institution 2,015 years old, founded by Christ, is in error...
Just when you think they are going g to give a cogent refutation of the articles, all we see is more of the same old ....
The Roman Catholic cult stands on their allegiance to Rome and her idols. From the earlier "we are the only true church", it has sunk to alleging that "Protestants" (I prefer the term Christians!) following Christ for most us is the same as some pervert of infamous sinners or cult leaders. Yet, they will fall down in front of some plaster statues or other representations of dead people, praying and prostrating, along with their "smells and bells" because it is what they expect a "religion" to be all about.
But, for those of us who are part of the family, we know the voice and recognize the prodding and chastisement of His Holy Spirit. We have confidence that all is well, because God told us so. His Word offers every answer to every question. It does begin and end with God.
Do we fail? Sometimes. Do we conquer? Yes, because that is what God promised. He tells us He will pick us up and dust our bottoms, then send us along that narrow road. Sometimes, some one (or ten, or a thousand...) of us children of God stray into the briars and weeds. Does that mean we are lost?
No, we may have scratches and bruises on our heart, but the Promise remains... and finally:
Proverbs 30: 30 The sayings of Agur son of Jakehan inspired utterance.
This mans utterance to Ithiel:
I am weary, God,
but I can prevail.[a]
2 Surely I am only a brute, not a man;
I do not have human understanding.
3
I have not learned wisdom,
nor have I attained to the knowledge of the Holy One.
4 Who has gone up to heaven and come down?
Whose hands have gathered up the wind?
Who has wrapped up the waters in a cloak?
Who has established all the ends of the earth?
What is his name, and what is the name of his son?
Surely you know!
5 Every word of God is flawless;
he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.
6 Do not add to his words,
or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar.
7 Two things I ask of you, Lord;
do not refuse me before I die:
8 Keep falsehood and lies far from me;
give me neither poverty nor riches,
but give me only my daily bread.
9 Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you
and say, Who is the Lord? Or I may become poor and steal,
and so dishonor the name of my God.
10 Do not slander a servant to their master,
or they will curse you, and you will pay for it.
11 There are those who curse their fathers
and do not bless their mothers;
12 those who are pure in their own eyes
and yet are not cleansed of their filth;
13 those whose eyes are ever so haughty,
whose glances are so disdainful;
14 those whose teeth are swords
and whose jaws are set with knives to devour the poor from the earth
and the needy from among mankind.
15 The leech has two daughters.
Give! Give! they cry.
There are three things that are never satisfied,
four that never say, Enough!:
16 the grave, the barren womb,
land, which is never satisfied with water,
and fire, which never says, Enough!
17 The eye that mocks a father, that scorns an aged mother, will be pecked out by the ravens of the valley,
will be eaten by the vultures.
18 There are three things that are too amazing for me,
four that I do not understand:
19 the way of an eagle in the sky,
the way of a snake on a rock,
the way of a ship on the high seas,
and the way of a man with a young woman.
20 This is the way of an adulterous woman:
She eats and wipes her mouth
and says, Ive done nothing wrong.
21 Under three things the earth trembles,
under four it cannot bear up:
22 a servant who becomes king,
a godless fool who gets plenty to eat,
23 a contemptible woman who gets married,
and a servant who displaces her mistress.
24 Four things on earth are small,
yet they are extremely wise:
25 Ants are creatures of little strength,
yet they store up their food in the summer;
26 hyraxes are creatures of little power,
yet they make their home in the crags;
27 locusts have no king,
yet they advance together in ranks;
28 a lizard can be caught with the hand,
yet it is found in kings palaces.
29 There are three things that are stately in their stride,
four that move with stately bearing:
30 a lion, mighty among beasts,
who retreats before nothing;
31 a strutting rooster, a he-goat,
and a king secure against revolt.[b] 32 If you play the fool and exalt yourself,
or if you plan evil,
clap your hand over your mouth!
33 For as churning cream produces butter,
and as twisting the nose produces blood,
so stirring up anger produces strife.
I don't think Catholics do Sal... rarely see it printed or linked ...
