Could ‘Strange Sound From the Sky’ Signal End of Days?
The Christian Diarist ^ | May 24, 2015 | JP

The UK’s Daily Mail published a news story last weekend speculating on the source of a “strange sound from the sky” that has been heard across the globe for nearly a decade.

Witnesses told the Mail that what they heard sounded very much like the blast of a trumpet. And that it was so loud it shook the ground beneath them.

In a sidebar, the Mail listed seven possible theories, from the unremarkable to the fantastical, that could account for the strange sound from the sky.

The first six included (in order) tectonic plates grinding, atmospheric pressure, trains shunting, construction work, aliens, a HAARP (High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program) weapon and aliens.

But the theory that caught this Christ follower’s attention was seventh on the list – the seven trumpets of heaven ushering in the Apocalypse, as foreseen by John of Patmos, author of the Revelation of Jesus Christ.

To non-believers, that might be a laughable proposition. But not to Christians.

Indeed, on the cusp of the new millennium, Newsweek published a cover story – “Prophecy: What the Bible Says About the End of the World” – that included a poll in which 71 percent of Evangelical Protestants (as well as 28 percent of non-Evangelical Protestants and 18 percent of Catholics) said they believed the world will end, as written in Revelation, in a battle at Armageddon between Christ and the Antichrist.

Well, this Christ follower counts himself among the 71 percent of evangelicals who believes the end-times prophecy of John of Patmos. But unlike many today who believe the end of days is imminent, I am unconvinced.

Because Christ, Himself, declared that “of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.”

Yet, that has not deterred false prophecies of the end of days.

That includes the so-called “Great Disappointment,” which occurred in 1844 when Christ did not return to Earth as predicted by the Baptist pastor William Miller, who had urged his followers to give away all their worldly possessions.

There was also Charles Taze Russell, founder of the Zion’s Watch Tower Tract Society (the sect known today as Jehovah’s Witnesses), who published a text in 1877 in which he predicted the rapture of the saints in 1878 and the second coming of the Lord.

Edgar Whisenant, an end-times zealot, authored the book “88 Reasons Why the Rapture Will Be in 1988,” and somehow managed to persuade Trinity Broadcasting Network to air special programming leading up to the rapture.

Then there was Harold Camping, the Christian radio show host, who predicted in 2009 that the rapture would take place May 21, 2011, and who lamented that he was “flabbergasted” that it didn’t happen.

Because there have been over the past two millennia so many who have been misled by end times predictions that have proven false, most Christ followers today think there next to zero chance that the rapture, the Apocalypse, the return of Christ will happen in their lifetimes.

And they almost certainly are right.

Yet, there remains that next to zero chance that ours is the generation that shall see the sign of the Lord’s coming, and of the end of the world.

And when that great and terrible day comes, when all the tribes of the earth mourn, when they see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory, he will send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet.

A trumpet that might very well sound like that strange sound from the sky that has been heard around the globe.

I’m sure state officials as well as the Feds are receiving reports of theses events going on, but they are mum.

I don't believe any true Christian would seriously promote that he, or anyone else, knows the end of days.

Well, there was Harold. He knew. Really. He said so on his radio network...

But he's dead.

Could ‘Strange Sound From the Sky’ Signal End of Days?

The evidence is mounting...

What Is Causing The Strange Trumpet Sounds In The Sky All Over The World?

Reminds me of this scene...

That is no orc horn

LOOK UP That's the point!

Christians will go thru the Tribulation

Enoch 1
1 The words of the blessing of Enoch, wherewith he blessed the elect and righteous, who will be 2 living in the day of tribulation, when all the wicked and godless are to be removed.

Compare with The Parable of the Wheat and the Tares

Matthew 13
30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”

Check please!

Re: Trumpet Sounds

There are three different trumpet sounds listed in the Torah, the Tekiah, Shebarim and Teruah with three different meanings. One thing I've noticed about these trumpet sounds from the sky is they're all the Tekiah.

Numbers 10, 1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

2 “Make two silver trumpets for yourself; you shall make them of hammered work; you shall use them for calling the congregation and for directing the movement of the camps. 3 When they sound a long blast with them (Tekiah), all the congregation shall gather before you at the door of the tabernacle of meeting.

4 If they sound a long blast with one, then the leaders, the heads of the divisions of Israel, shall gather to you. 5 When you sound short blasts, the camps that lie on the east side shall then begin their journey.

6 When you sound short blasts the second time, then the camps that lie on the south side shall begin their journey; short blasts shall they sound for their journeys. 7 And when the assembly is to be gathered together, you shall sound a long blast, but not a short blast.

8 The sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow the trumpets; and these shall be to you as an ordinance forever throughout your generations.

Numbers 10:3
וְתָקְעוּ בָּהֵן וְנוֹעֲדוּ אֵלֶיךָ כָּל־הָעֵדָה אֶל־פֶּתַח אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד

Tekiah תקיעה refers to the long blasts

As with the silver trumpets so with the shofar.

I just stumbled on this today...

Babylonian Talmud: Tractate Sanhedrin
Folio 97a

The tabernacle of David ha-nofeleth [that is fallen].'1 He replied, 'Thus hath R. Johanan said: in the generation when the son of David [i.e., Messiah] will come, scholars will be few in number, and as for the rest, their eyes will fail through sorrow and grief. Multitudes of trouble and evil decrees will be promulgated anew, each new evil coming with haste before the other has ended.'

Our Rabbis taught: in the seven year cycle at the end of which the son of David will come-in the first year, this verse will be fulfilled: And I will cause it to rain upon one city and cause it not to rain upon another city;2 in the second, the arrows of hunger will be sent forth;3 in the third, a great famine, in the course of which men, women, and children, pious men and saints4 will die, and the Torah will be forgotten by its students; in the fourth, partial plenty;5 in the fifth, great plenty, when men will eat, drink and rejoice, and the Torah will return to its disciples; in the sixth, [Heavenly] sounds; 6 in the seventh, wars; and at the conclusion of the septennate the son of David will come. R. Joseph demurred: But so many septennates have passed, yet has he not come! — Abaye retorted: Were there then [Heavenly] sounds in the sixth and wars in the seventh! Moreover, have they [sc. the troubles] been in this order7 !

OMG Thank you so very much. Since I heard and view the video it always sounded like a Shofar. It since sounds like the Tekiah, than it is calling God’s people to start gathering and prepare. Am I Right?

Thank you.

What do you think of those mysterious blasts? I am not sure but I felt this is also a spiritual warfare going on. In other words another dimension entering our dimension as we move forward. Satan Angels vs. God’s Angel...their realm is now entering our realm. That is how I see and felt it. In fact, I experience these mysterious blast. A city next to me reported it that they were hearing these blast but no one knew where they were coming from. At first I didn’t believe them. I also read about these mysterious blast but I just washed aside. Well a day later my next local city reported it. I was sitting down in front of the computer and heard a blast but I thought it may be fireworks. Then again another blast but this time it was loud that I could feel my apartment windows vibrate and the walls. Everyone ran out but we saw nothing. No flash nor smoke. I then immediately felt a presence that these blast are supernatural.

Eventually, those who read their Bibles will read the following:

John 14:1-3 “Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.

I Thess 4:13-18 13 But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. 15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.

II Thess 2:1-6 Now we request you, brethren, with regard to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, 2 that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit or a message or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. 3 Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. 5 Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things? 6 And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed.

I Cor 15:51-53 Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality.

when Paul write behold I show you a mystery, he is introducing something not spoken of before in scripture, something most likely revealed to him directly from The Lord.

We were told by Jesus to watch, as in watch for me because I will not give you a warning sign, I will just appear and you better be ready. That is the doctrine of immanency, that the Lord can return at any moment to take away the Bride of Christ and start the Tribulation years spoken of in Daniel 9 as the seventieth week for Israel.

Where Paul speaks to the Thessalonian believers of the ‘last Trump’ he is referring to Septuagint passages he used to teach them about the Passover and the feast of Israel/God’s Times. It is these feasts which featured trump blasts. There is a fest of trumpets featuring 100 soundings and the last is for as long as the trumpeter can use their largest inhalation. But there are other trumpets used in the feasts. Would anyone like to guess which Feast Paul might have been referring them to as being a foreshadowing of the Rapture?
