“This is an ad hominem logical fallacy.”

No. If he believes in nutty conspiracy theories it affects his work. And he does. And it does.

“At least that is what truth seekers do.”

He’s not a truth seeker. He deliberately seeks out nutty conspiratorial ideas which undercut traditional Christian beliefs (such as Paul’s authorship of his own letters) and champions them. And he’s apparently your ONLY modern support for your false claims. He’s IT. You chose a real winner there.

First, I don’t know if he is a truth seeker. I am. That is what matters.

Second, you wrote, “And he’s apparently your ONLY modern support for your false claims. He’s IT. You chose a real winner there.”

No. I listed a number of issues that are unresolved by being proven. When they are, you can write about “settled science” and I’ll take it seriously. Until then, I would never treat the supposed letters of Ignatius as anything to base anything from.

In the meantime, you’ve got nothing to show they are resolved - or at least you have not posted it. You did refer us to two books and included one quote. It was not decisive.

He’s not a truth seeker.

I've heard of someone who is!
