What a surprise, they just called me in and said they had eliminated my position, after almost ten years too.

Ah, another MT whose job was outsourced and offshored. Been there, done that. It’s too bad...I LOVED doing medical transcription. I’m in school for billing and coding now, even though I’m not optimistic about the future of that career either.

Well, fortunately for me, I just got my Masters in Counseling, which took me 6 years part-time. It seems I timed it perfectly. Now if only I can find a job that doesn’t REQUIRE you to be bilingual. Yes - there are a lot of those out there - it pisses me off to no end!!!
