Ted Cruz tells The Brody File that evangelicals are the key to who is elected President of the United States in 2016. I think evangelicals, Christians, people of faith are going to play the decisive role in the republican primary. And I think were going to play the decisive role in the general election in 2016.
Cruz resonates with evangelicals but so do quite a few other candidates so its going to be an all-out holy war during GOP Primary season.
This interview was done at the Iowa Faith and Freedom Coalition near Des Moines this past weekend.

David Brody, The evangelical vote crucial. Not just in Iowa but all over the country. Heres my question for you. If you can win a good majority of evangelicals, then what happens to your candidacy?
Senator Ted Cruz, I think evangelicals, Christians, people of faith are going to play the decisive role in the republican primary. And I think were going to play the decisive role in the general election in 2016. If you look at the last couple of elections, 2008 and 2012, sadly millions of Christians stayed home. Millions of Christians didnt come out and vote. Is it any wonder we have the government we have today if people of faith dont vote our values. Thats what weve got to do. Weve got to energize and bring Christians back to the polls to vote and defend our values.
3 million republicans sat home in 2012 because they didn’t want to vote for Mitt. I have a feeling they would have turned out for Ted Cruz.
No ifs, ands or buts...
The election process is dominated by big money interests be they Wall Street, the TBTF banks or foreign interests.
Most likely Hillary will be the Dem nomination despite her scandals. She is being ravaged by her miss steps but it only will weaken her not knock her out.
Jeb Bush will be nominated by the GOP elite and will win.
Then why are you even here?
Because I enjoy the repartee and exchange of ideas and opinions.
Your correct on both counts.
Evangelicals are the most conservative people in America.
Also the most opposed to gay marriage and the most consistent.
Evangelicals are the foundation of conservatism in America and Cruz knows that.
He has to give a clear reason and plan to address abortion and now, same sex marriage. Too many Repugs have lied...to get the Christian vote so they don’t vote anymore.
Yes, but Cruz brings a LOT more to the table than just his faith.
Expect to see some ghastly ugliness, and some amazing beauty.
I don't know that God will make it happen but He has provided us a clear choice...
The Evangelicals of today are not the same as the Evangelicals of 2-3 decades ago. The group today is being watered down with evil. Yes, generally, we are far better than anything on the left, but overall, I believe today, Evangelicals are moving leftward from the progressive influence because of many of the churches accepting open homosexual marriage, illegal immigration, the reluctance to address abortion, and so on.
Quit posting nonsensical attacks against the best voters in America.
Evangelicals are the most conservative people in America.
Also the most opposed to gay marriage and the most consistent.
Evangelicals are the foundation of conservatism in America and Cruz knows that.
You are the purveyor of nonsense. An expert at it. You don’t like it? Tough!
