“I’m a woman.” So said Bruce Jenner, during his coming out appearance this past Friday on a special two-hour edition of the ABC News program “20/20.”
And that’s not the only shocking revelation Jenner confided to interviewer Diane Sawyer. “She” also claimed to be a Republican, a conservative and a Christian.
Well, it’s conceivable that Jenner is a Republican. After all, there’s a LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) group that calls itself the Log Cabin Republicans.
It’s also possible that Jenner is a “conservative.” Indeed, there have been any number of conservative lawmakers – including former Idaho Senator Larry Craig, a homosexual, and former Florida congressman Mark Foley – who were outed as homosexuals.
But there’s no way that Jenner, who is “transitioning” from male to female, is a true Christ follower.
Indeed, in his letter to the Church at Corinth, the Apostle Paul advised: “Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.”
Does that mean any and every one of us who has committed any of those aforementioned sins is unsaved; that we have condemned ourselves to “the second death,” as John of Patmos put it, when we appear before the judgment seat of Christ?
No.
Because, the Scripture assures us: “If we confess our sins, He is just and faithful to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us of all unrighteousness.”
Conversely, “If we say that we have no sin,” as Jenner, the transgender in the making maintains, “we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.”
So it matters not if Jenner attends church every Sunday; if he tithes what earns for his upcoming reality show; if he reads his Bible every day; if he prays first thing each morning, and last thing every night.
If he unrepentantly undergoes a sex change, if he refuses to acknowledge that doing so is an abomination in the eyes of God, he will be in open rebellion against his Creator.
That’s why Christ warned us, everyone: “If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.”
What that says is that we are not to surrender ourselves to sin; to deceive ourselves that God will forgive us for our unconfessed, unrepented adultery or financial wrongdoing or substance abuse or acts of violence or twisted sexual orientation.
If Jenner truly was a Christian, he would not blithely embrace transgenderism. No, he would fall on his knees and ask the Lord to free him from Satan’s grip. For greater is He who is in Bruce Jenner – who is in all of us struggling with sin – than he who is in the world.
Yeah I’m a little sick of seeing people cheer for his “happiness” when he’s really just mentally ill.
He has severe mental problems.
It is sad to see it is glorified but not treated.
His happiness is our misery. Just go away Bruce. Happy is being in the news every day?? Me thinks so.
God Herself accepts that the XY Chromosome is no longer valid. VIVA GAY!

Just like God accepted Cain’s sacrifice. Anyone close to Jenner who serves God correctly had better watch out.

His recent accident is going to cost him untold millions. He will be more present, more overt and more outrageous in the story he has to sell off to media for the mindless public. It is now all about money - not his personal desires or faults IMO.

Everyone makes mistakes.
You’re supposed to repent, see the errors of your ways, recognize that God’s ways are better, and then attempt to live in a way more in keeping with God’s ways.
Bruce hasn’t even begun to walk the path that Jesus wants him to walk. Bruce thinks that the way that Bruce has chosen is peachy-keen.
Well, there are a lot of the voting electorate who are unsaved, and yet they vote for candidates that we want, as opposed to the liberals.
If one is talking about salvation issues, then that’s one thing and it relates to what God says about it. If we’re talking about the voting electorate, it’s another matter, because most of the voting electorate is definitely not saved and doesn’t even care to be saved.
Jesus may not “accept” his sex change but Jesus does love him, a lot. So its totally between Bruce and Jesus.
Jesus loves Bruce. Just my opinion, but I think Jesus thinks Bruce is wrong. Jesus will judge.
Pretending that's it's all a private matter and that the outcome is "all good" is not showing love for Bruce. Telling him that he's wrong and freakish is actually showing more love.
Forgiveness from Jesus or acceptance of something is not a subjective decision. If we accept that Christ died for our sins then we must accept the premise that God and Christ forgive all and accept all if you you are willing to accept God and Christ in your life.
So those that think they know who is going to Purgatory and/or Hell and those going to Heaven really don’t know anything at all.
The hypocrisy in this screed is disgusting.
Jesus preaches love, only to find people gathered around the edges of that love to try to determine where it ends so they can damn each other. "Oh we're not damning, you damn yourself." "Oh we still love you, but you're going to hell." "Oh Jesus didn't mean he'd forgive you like he's forgiving me, love doesn't mean that." "I'm not saying this out of rejection, I'm trying to save your soul."
The lack of humility, the lack of the true fear of violating God's law through hypocrisy, is breathtaking.
i wonder how brucy will be filling out job apps at this point, does he say he’s male, female, other, confused or “Accident Prone”.
Next time Bruce Jenner is in my living room I’ll share my concern for him. :-D
But in my opinion, people who continue to live a willfully sinful life while saying, "I accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior" might actually be hedging their bets and not acting out of sincerity. I guess I don't know how Jesus will see the matter, but I have known some really awful people who saw themselves as good Christians.
