We have been caring for my father at home since December. Last week we began hospice care and after a very bad turn on Tuesday, he's likely only days from death. I'd be grateful for prayers for his soul and for comfort for my mother, his wife of 56 years, who is in so much pain. Thank you.
In this difficult time, please know you, your father, and his wife are surrounded by God’s angels. While it may hard to discern, they are whispering consolations to each of you.
You are also surrounded by some great Freepers! Their prayers have sustained me in some very difficult times (you know who you are ;))
Don’t be surprised if there is a slight improvement. This often happens in Hospice, as the environment is much more relaxing, and nurses aren’t poking you every 5 minutes.
Lord God, we are mindful of Your grace, for all our hope resides in Your love and mercy. We pray for workerbee’s dad as death draws nigh. We ask that this faithful child of parents who have been honored as commanded would have her prayers answered. And always, Lord Jesus, we are reminded that You choose the time of our coming and going, of our living and of our dying. We pray in the name of Jesus; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.

The above section is sublime, and a great hope.
Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

Jesus, please lift up your faithful servants in Your glory and send the Holy Spirit to comfort them.
May God make his journey peaceful and may God accept him soon in heaven.
Endure the anguish and pain for others and God will bless you.
