OK. I get it. There are many, many people on this board smarter than the average Catholic priest.

Well, for starters, you have zero idea who has what type of educational background. Online you can claim to be anybody or anything.

As far as we know there are no catholic priests on this board. Then again, maybe there are a lot of catholic priests on this board in addition to PhDs in ancient languages or possibly history.

I could really care less if you don’t believe someone is a priest. Try paying attention to what he says about the Catholic Church and anyone that knows anything about Catholicism, which the average protestant does not, will quickly come to the conclusion that this particular poster is either a Catholic priest or a PHD in Theology. And I don’t have to guess and you don’t have to guess the education level of Fulton Sheen, John Henry Newman or Benedict 16th. There is absolutely no one on the FR boards that has that type of background in religion. And guess what, of the last three that I mentioned one was a convert from protestantism and all three will one day be canonized saints. If either Sheen or Benedict 16th in all their years of study had thought that Catholicism was wrong they would have left the faith and become a protestant. The exact same reason that Cardinal Newman left protestantism. They would have done so because they were also men of integrity that could not live a lie. Lastly name me one world renowned Catholic theologian who has all the sudden said Catholicism was wrong and left the faith for a protestant denomination. You can’t. They don’t exist. Now what me to name all the brilliant protestant theologians that became Catholic? I am a Catholic for one reason and one reason only. It’s the truth, whether you or anyone else agrees with that or not. There are now over 400 replies to this simple thread about someone that converted to Catholicism. Why so many replies? Why can’t people of all faiths be happy for him instead of immediately saying he didn’t know what he was doing and in the process start badmouthing Catholicism. I think we both know the answer.
