This is a love book... this is not a science book... imagine trying to take apart “Roses are red, violets are blue” with a biology textbook... misses the point entirely.

Though I agree that the Bible isn't a "science" book, whenever it touches on things of a scientific nature, it IS accurate. There are numerous science-related statements in Scripture that people did not even know back then and which have only been discovered recently. Things such as stars all being different than each other, stars as numberless as the sands of the sea, a spherical earth suspended in space, atmospheric circulation, bio-genesis, recirculation of water, etc. (for others, see Science and the Bible.

What makes you think it was made to appeal to our modern astronomer more than it did to Moses himself?

You are begging the question. It never intended to “touch on the scientific.” That is a way of smuggling human opinion in.
